View Full Version : G15 feature... Legal... Yes or No? ( also another question )

So I've been playing around with macros on my G15 settings up spread out formations...

I stumbled across a feature in the macros that can time delays between key presses... So basically if I make the macro like " Press A , and then 5 seconds later press B "... I would use this for my formations to have them go 2 different directions in the same key/macro.

1) Is it legal to make a macro like this? Is there any way of getting caught?

2) Can the G15s macro-able keys ( ones on the left ) be given their own "Key name"? Currently WoW sees them as F1, F2, etc. But I want them to each have their own name so it essentially gives me more keys on my keyboard.

Thanks

Yes that is against the TOS since your making it automation. They danger of beeing caught is pretty high since they can search for bots which use the same time to use a skill everytime.

Greetings,

New to the forum but avid reader.

Having done this minipresentation, as far as I know (and more experienced people in here may correct me if I'm wrong), timed actions are illegal. The *cast then wait X seconds* sequence is not allowed within WoW. You could make your toons cast nonsense, but there must be something in there, any spell of any level, or any playable spell like ability.

By the way, like I said, this is my first post, I'm new to this...but I'm kinda sure this question you asked is covered in depth along the wiki or Vyndree's faq about multiboxing. And guess what? there is even at least one or 2 posts here and there suggesting you check both sources before asking anything here  I strongly recommend you visit both as soon as you can.

Make those 2 half a million posts ;)

Edit: heck, people here answer questions fast :D no longer first reply...

So basically... each separate action that requires a button press, must have a single hardware button press to it.

After re-reading that again, I gotta say, Belfaire is my favorite blue:

"We have drawn a line. You're talking about automated behavior. Multiboxing is not automated. There is no automation. There is no great advantage, there is no illicit behavior, there is no overwhelming benefit, there is no automation." - sums it up, nice and tidy.

and

"I can't hear you over the sound of my Mercedes. Feel free to suggest changes to policy on our Suggestions Forum. Go with the blessing of the Antepope." - hahaha
