I have a feeling that he's talking about keyclone. If so, I have the same issue: Keyclone doesn't fully exit. The icon will stay in the tray with the tooltip popup, but there's no right (or left) click menu. I usually just go into the processes and end it manually.
Also, I'm a big fan of full reinstallations for at least 2 reasons, one of which is: IF I manage to get a virus/spam/spyware that I cannot get rid of, then I won't feel like reinstalling is such a big issue. The other reason is: if it 'ain't broke, you aren't trying hard enough.

yea the keyclone not fully closing is (I believe) a known issue. I saw it all the time on xp, have yet to see it on vista though.
However "it" could also mean the software program for xkeys pro, which has a similar issue. Just make sure if you are running vista to start macroworks as the administrator. If you load it up and you do not see your macros, close it and start it up again. I have had this issue several times and a restart usualy works. Make sure you are saving your keymappings as well.

Just an FYI, I'm running Vista. But like I said, it's not a huge issue to me, just another step in getting everything up and running.

Having spoken with Keyclone about this, it is indeed a known issue. To remove the extra step, just right click the icon in your trey and close it from there.
