OK, not a MBing question, I know, but somebody might know anyway...

I will be going along my merry way when all of a sudden I am looking STRAIGHT UP... By the time I get my camera back on track, I may have run off that cliff or something.

Anyone have a quick fix for this?

Unbind your "change camera angle" buttons.

Dont post this shit in general.

Um, not sure that's the problem.
I am having similar issues, but I'd say it'e more often a 180 degree turn on the main toon only. And I normally run by using both mouse buttons, so it's unlikely it's the camera keybindings. And aren't those on PgUp/ PgDwn (by default) and only change the point of view, not the camera orientation anyway?

Some KM sharing tools are known to have these problems. Click too fast and poof there you have some abrupt mouse movement.

I have seen it with Synergy (not the wild spin thingy, just the I don't know where I'm at anymore and move some while you hold your right mouse button) and Octopus. Don't remember if I had this with multiplicity. And don't know about kavoom since I have not tried this yet.

Jeez...... Friendly bunch, arent you?

I posted here because it was a GENERAL QUESTION related to my MBing experience. (Since it ONLY happens when I MB, not when I single-play), unrelated to any pvp/pve, addons, macros or any other specific scenario or content.

This was my 3rd thread started on this forum, and the second one which recived a "STFU NOOB!" type response. Clearly I am not fit to post on these forums, and will leave you all alone. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Maybe you should click the name wilbur and check his posting history :D. General might not be the place for this post since it's description states : General Multiboxing Discussions (Not For Support)

You should have posted this in :
New Multi-Boxers & Support - New To Dual/Multi-boxing? Checked the Wiki and still not sure on something? Having problems? Need a Guide? This is the place for you!

You might try to reply on the usefull posts. And tell us what software you use to share mouse and keyboard (if you are). Because like I posted, that could be the problem.

I'm not sure if I should even bother replying to this, but I will anyway. First of all, yes his response was rude but I think you are overreacting. Anyway, the camera problem... are you positive that it never happens when playing solo? My first thought was actually the surface that you use your mouse on. I've had erratic behavior from a laser mouse that didn't like the surface it was on. Also, are you holding down any mouse buttons when it happens (i.e. mouselook)? Also, if you have any macro's that use "TURNORACTION" it can cause the cursor to jump to other windows.

I hope some of this helps.

I didn't have this problem until I starting using Quest Helper, I turned down the performance with the command /qh perf 10% and problem went away.

I have this problem when playing single player. I think it's a plain bug, but I have no idea what causes it.

The camera looks straight up when I click the mouse to do mouse look. It doesn't rotate upward, it is just suddenly straight up. Whether there is something else that sets up this situation, I don't know, but I'm sure it can happen when I click and I'm not pressing any other keys at all.

I'm sure it can happen without mods. I don't know if some mod could cause it to become more frequent.

It can happen without keyclone.

It can happen in fullscreen or windowed mode.

I have similar problems except my camera usually does a 180 and not straight up. Doesn't actually move but flip instantly. I've cleaned my mouse, switched surfaces and don't have any macros for camera position. It seems to happen when I have the right mouse button down.

Also, while my right mouse button is pressed, the mouse will occasionally jump out of the WoW window that is active.

Provoking nerd-rage over a simple question is too much hassle :)You haven't been here long enough to see the big picture, you see it as you posted once in the wrong forum and you get blasted for it. The mods and veterans see a constant trend of hundreds of noobs posting support questions in the wrong forum and they are tired of it.

It's not the Mod's fault the noobs can't seem to read the forum names correctly, so they do their job as moderator to try to keep it under control.

I am not sure the prob is realted to being new, so the General forum might not even be that wrong. OTH, if it is the wrong forum, simply moving the thread to the more appropriate forum might have been an option as well.

In my opinion, keeping things under control does not include a Super Moderator posting "Dont post this shit in general.".
I wonder why Wilbur decided to write that down and decide to not just move the topic to the appropriate section in the forums.

I can't be 100% sure if it doesn't happen in solo play, if it does its not very often... However, I am in a SW raiding guild, and things are hectic enough there that I think I would have noticed it :P

And there is NO pattern to it EXCEPT it only seems to occur when MBing. (Keyclone)

Of course, the link might be casual, ie. I dont travel around a lot on my main, he takes the portal to the Isle, gets a portal back to Shatt at end of raid, so it might just be a travel-related thing, and I do that on the MBers, not on my main. I don't know.

It does happen when I control the toons with my mouse, but not specifically tied to looking (I would have noticed that as a pattern), but with turning and control in general it seems.

How are you boxing? Software or Hardware? Thats the section is belongs in...

Also just IMO, his response was not a shut the fuck up type response. He was just saying, you posted it in the wrong section. If you don't read, search or post in the right sections, you are not going to get much love here.

I've seen this behavior as well, and I believe it is a product of KeyClone. My guess is that KeyClone gets confused and sends a mouse click to the WoW window that is actually outside of the WoW window. WoW handles it the best it knows how, but since Blizzard didn't expect mouse clicks at something like 23,3247 in a window that is only 800x600 it snaps the camera to that rotation. I see this when steering with Mouse 2 and also when running with both mouse buttons.
