What will be your new level 70 spec if the new talents come out significantly ahead of the expansion so that you have to actually play with them.

For my feral druid pvp I was thinking

and for my shammies pvp

I really doubt they'll release them before beta like they did with TBC. They have arena to worry about now, and I doubt they'll want it to get all wacky and have nerf cries all over the boards because some classes are OP in arena with the new trees.

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade's release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.

We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:

New class spells and talents
Stormwind Harbor
Barbershops in capital cities
Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades
Two brand-new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles
Guild calendar
Hunter pet skill revamp
New profession: Inscription

As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. We’ll post the full patch notes as soon as they’re available. Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.

Dunno if you've seen that yet or not Nay.

Whoa, I had not seen that, thanks. It's going to get a bit crazy but oh well, fun, fun, fun.

Definitely something like this. Can't see playing a NS build with only 61 points. Thunderstorm all the way.

Not to mention Ghostwolf breaking snares.

In the last patch before expansion they will end s4 and add the new talents trees. So we will have some weeks of testing them out. Is what i heared. they will also autobaticly remove all arena point when you hit lvl 71, I'm not sure about honor yet.

Gotta start thinking about Thunderstorm for shammies, because that will be ur best weapon against those super melee classes :) Even better if ur boxing because u can keep them of u for some time, and perhaps, while in mid air, u can get used to LB+CL them, instead of having a NS. Im yet to see how will things work out with thunderstorm, because NS is a great tool, but from what i've seen from melee classes talents..u really gonna need that last point in elemental.

It's still very early, but my guess is, either ele shaman will be op for some time, or the melee classes will totally crush casters (for them to have such anti melee spells)

anyways, u really gotta spec thunderstorm! im gonna spec it :P

Not to mention Ghostwolf breaking snares.Ghost wolf will only break snares if you spec 40+ points into enhancement.

This would be my choice for a spec - and when WOTLK comes up dumping 10 pts into resto to get Tidal Mastery (the replacement for Totemic Mastery since the base range of totems is now 30 yrds) and moving 3 points from Unrelenting Storm into Call of Flame.

On my main, the other 4 shaman I use will get Imp Fire Totems, since it was confirmed that totem buff stacking is bugged on beta. So there's little point in specing all of them for ToW anymore. Same with Wrath of Air, and Windfury. With the changes to Flametongue, Lava Flows will want to be maxed since that will be the ele weapon buff of choice.

With the adds to the warrior and ret pally tree, thunderstorm will almost be a necessity to get them off of you. Mortal Strike is becoming more like a judgement so it can be refreshed by melee swings, fury warriors can wield a 2 hander + shield so mutliwarrior cleave teams are going to suck a lot, 6-7k judgements are pretty common on beta atm, kitty form shadowstep with built in crip and mind numbing poisons and beserk with mangle costing 50% energy and hitting 3 targets, and sub rogues are going to be an even bigger pita to kill now with Wrongfully Accused and Shadow Dance.? Melee teams are going to suck for boxers now - worse than caster teams imho.

I'm just thankful that they adjusted Maelstrom Weapons so that enhancement shamans couldn't get an instant chain lightning every 6 seconds.

Thats the tree im LF. Instead of 1/3 Ele Precision im going 2/2 Imp Fire Nova, cause i have Draenei's. Thats all.

The wowhead talent calc says it's updated, but it differs from the official wow site calculator. Which is correct? Did they nerf Arcane Barrage to hell or what?

Thunderstorm + frost shock and it will take some time before he comes back! Sure intercept but we got 5 thinderstorms!

If there is no DR on thunderstorm it means a 9 second cooldown.

I think people understimate the advantage you get with thunderstorm and knocking enemy meele out of line of sight of the healers.

This will be the spec I will be trying out in the expansion. The 2 main highlights in Resto were NS of course but you can't get that with Thunder, and 30 yard range on totems, which is becoming a baseline skill. Instant Ghost Wolf will be amazing for mobility.
Astral Shift is probably the best thing ever to happen for Elemental Shaman, whoever is getting focused down will be taking 30% less damage, unbeatable.

To further elaborate, Thunder on any target should guarentee a kill, by the time they hit the floor from the knockback you should have a Chain Lightning / Lightning Bolt / ES combo. Also note there is a Glyph that gives Earthshock an extra 5 yards making it 36 yard range I believe.

Is there any info on the 4 set bonus on the pvp sets? This can be very vital to our preformance..

It's going to be a lot of fun getting the 60 warlock and 60 mage teams to 70. I was going to do it early, but I'll wait for the talent release now.

I'm still thinking about instant ghost wolf vs. Tidal Force, and getting Call of Flame for an extra 6% damage on lava burst. I'll have to check on beta but I think that only effects base damage like balance druid's moonfury before any spell damage applications. If that's the case still, it likely won't be worth it, but we have plenty of time to craft out comps.

I'm still wondering how enemy ele shamans will do against us with thunderstorm ON us, and the dk force pull is going to be annoying as hell.

Edit: I just checked, the glyph for earth shock reduces the GCD trigger and the earth shock cd. The range glyph is for Flame Shock only. The chain heal glyph may actually be really nice for quad boxers - additional target healed by CH (they have a similiar one for CL). But likely the flametongue weapon glyph will be the first choice, since it adds 2% crit to the weapon buff.
