Yet (another) RAF Question -- boosting

Ok, just to clarify, I know this has probably been answered 100 times, but I just need to see it for myself.

Account 1 (VET) -------------------- Account 2
Character 1 - 70 Paladin <-- Level 10 mage RAF Linked

Account 3 (VET)-------------------- Account 4
Character 2 - 10 mage <--- Another level 10 mage RAF Linked

Now, from what I read only accnts 3 and 4 will benefit from the RAF leveling via instance boosting if the paladin does it? Please clarify =)

Yes. Account 2 is not partied with a linked account of the SAME LEVEL, so he will only get 100% (base) XP. Accounts 3 and 4 will get 300% XP since they are linked and are the same level, even though a lvl 70 is in the group and boosting them.

If you wanted to boost 3 accounts with your paladin, you should have created account 2, then linked 2 to account 3, then linked 3 to 4. Then you could boost with the paladin and have all 3 extra accounts at 300% XP. I believe it's not too late to buy a 5th account and link 2 to 4, then 2 will be linked to 4, and they'll both get 300% XP. :)

If you plan to boost with the 70 paladin it shall NOT be linked with any other account that you plan to boost.

Boosting with a prot paladin is awsome. I got a 3-man team, dinged 60 on my first team (shaman/warlock) and I'm now boosting double druids up. :D

See I wanted to boost with the pally and have them linked because 2 accounts are my friends that he hasnt played in over 2 years, well 1 is and I linked the other, than I linked one to the pally in hopes of xfering after boosting to my main account.

So to get the 300%XP each character has to be level 5, if 1 char is 5 and one is 6 neither will get the XP?

yes. So long as the quest/mob is not trivial to either player you will get xp. I believe the threshold is +- 4 levels.

Hi sorry to jump in on another persons thread but this has caught my attention as I plan to buy 2 new accounts and link them to 2 original accounts, was going to quest all 4 together but I also have a 3rd origional account with a lvl 70 prot pally. So if I am reading this correct (and it's not what the Offical FAQs say unless I am reading that wrong) I could have the proc pally in the group and the 4 other accounts would get 300% xp as they are linked accounts but not link to the Proc Pally account so the proc pally. Is that correct?

Just to be warned, when the idea of 4 linked accounts with one unlinked 70 boosting was mentioned to developers, Blizzard definitely said that this was against the spirit of RAF.

So they will probably do something to prevent this from being profitable at some point.
