View Full Version : Is there a /stopfollow command?

I just started my first dual-box party (Warrior/Shaman), and I was wondering if there is some sort of command to make my shaman stop following or stand in place.

I looked around here in the forums and everywhere else I could think of to find a complete list of macro commands. Anyone know where I could find one?

Thanks! This seems like a great community so far!

If only there was. The only way to stop following is to move. Either turning, moving forward or backward. You don't have to move far, just press the key for a split second and the game will detect it and stop following.

There used to be. But movement (as previously mentioned) and melee combat swings will break it. Also, any channeled spell will also break follow.

I'm pretty sure they break it at the start.

Depends on what you're channeling. Rain of Fire, Blizzard, and such spells wont break it at all, while lifedrain, the old mend pet, and other target-specific auto-facing spells will.

What about a /command to replicate movement? I'd rather not have to hit spacebar every time I want her to stop -- I'd rather just macro it into something else.

Or is there a way to get keyclone to send two keystrokes at once to the alt computer? So that hitting 4 starts the Charge on my Warrior, but sends 4+space to make my Shaman jump and start her combat buffing?

you can do that, but it seems as though that would be crossing the line and you would start violating the tos since you are doing two actions in one account with one keystroke.

By the way, space does not make your person stop following. They still follow, they simply jump while following :).

Space DOES make you stop following in the water or on a flying mount.

Oh serious, that blows for flying mounts. :/

Going to be wierd as flying differently.

Pressing two buttons at the same time shouldn't be a problem, it's if you have it so it presses one button then another button where it becomes a problem. If you bind 4 to send whatever key moves forward and an instant cast spell it should be fine. You can't use a non-instant since the movement would stop you from casting it.

Bind the key you use as backward on the main to forward on the alt, makes it a doddle for simple combat positioning especially for melee. One quick tap will have both characters standing at the same point. :D

For a warrior, bind the key that initiates charge to forward/backward on the alt. You tap it on the warrior and the shaman stops following.
