Any successful multiboxers on Ruin US or Cyclone EU?

So from what I understand, these are by far the most competitive battlegroups in US and EU...
I'd like to know if any multiboxer is having success in 5v5 on these BGs.

I'm playing on Cyclone EU.. and I'm becoming a little disheartened. Already at 1650ish rating I can meet people who are Gladiator/Merciless Gladiator titled, who are seemingly experts at killing multiboxers. Sometimes I get so controlled, I'm beginning to doubt that it's even possible to win against these people, no matter the gear and skills/tactics.

I am seriously questioning the level of competition in other battlegroups. Any long time 5v5 players that can compare BGs?
In Europe at least.. most people that struggle in the Cyclone BG, and move away, instantly get 2000+ rating on their new battlegroup. Several of my past friends that still play alts on my server confirm this.


Cyclone EU has a tradition of attracting very commited PVP players. This has a two-fold effect:
1. It makes the Cyclone BG very competitive.
2. It makes the other BGs even less competitive.

Cyclone had indeed become a hard place to play, in seson one and 2 i made it 2100 ish whit Resto shaman / slsl lock setup in 2v2, in seson 3 i didet get over 1750 whhit any of the setups i tyred. Now in s4 i only box and its not relly going that well just 1550-1600 rating.

I think our games are 2-1 to me. First time we met you got me, but never since. Heh. It's really a battle of grounding totems.

Maybe it's just me, but I get the feeling that 2000+ rating in other battlegroups is like 1700+ on our battlegroup, simply because the population of skilled and committed PVPers is much much larger.

migrate to other battlegroup and get urself to 2000+ :) shouldnt be hard then.

I'm not convinced that it'd be worth the fees, and to lose all your friends and contacts on your current server. In addition, it feels wrong to give in.

All in all.. I'm just a little skeptic of all the people boasting about their rating achievements, when they are in fact playing against sub par competition.

Just because ur in frustration with ur rating, it doesnt means other ppl dont know how to play and achieve 2000+. In fact thats like a slap on every boxer face. It was ur choice, not ours. I play on the Misery battlegroup, and i disagree with the bg9-1700>all-2000. Basicaly ur just trying to justify ur rating for all that read the forums, but theres no need, because every euro around that knows whats pvp, know whats cyclone, a fairly hard bg. but stating that ur 1700 is equal to everyones 2000, kinda makes me sad.

i can tell u that on my BG, i had a very hard time past 1550. i improved on gear, tactics and control of my chars. my main goal was 1800 and i got 1813 this weekend, playing against very skilled players, even from SK Gaming ( those who promoted the BG9, right? Are now on my BG, on Vek'Nilash). I think i won, and i diserved it. I also diserved to loose some times :)

My bg and arenas queues never go past the 3 minutes, on any day, so i think that shows my BG also has a fair ammount of commited players.

Hm yeah, I know.. I shouldn't take out my frustration on others.

What happens is that I'm cruising cool at 1650-1700 for a week no problems.. then just WHAM! I hit a bunch of weirdly skilled and geared teams that just blow me out of the water for a whole night. Then I find myself at 1560, very very angry and frustrated.

Im in Cyclone EU aswell..

3 shamans on thunderhorn (alliance) - level 70
4 mages+paladin on stormscale (horde) - all level 60, busy leveling..

But i did 2 weeks of games on my shamans and gave up.. It's way too hard.

I play 2v2 with my warlock and a mates druid.. and we're struggling big time to get the ratings.. Hit 2100 in S3.. Our best in S4 so far is 1701.. and after loosing to the same team 4 times in a row 'Vengful Gladiator xxxxx' ftl.. We're back down at 1650ish.

Cyclone takes the piss for how difficult it is..

It might be good.. But not good enough - My goal for S4 is to reach 2050 to get weapons, but right now I'm just going for 1950 to get S3 shoulders (I wont reach 2.2k so I already said screw S4 shoulders). But I can't even get over 1850, so right now - I'm fucked :P But ty anyways :)

I'm on Cyclone. After season 4 started I havent been over 1700 rating. It's pretty brutal. But I haven't had time for much boxing. Been betatesting for bout 3 weeks now. Also haven't had the best of luck with healers before that, haven't found anyone that really wanted to go the distance. Suffering alittle on the ping side as well averaging 200-250 ms is probably not good enough. Thought about transfering, but I'm lazy.

I play on rune, I heal for a friends team of shamans on my priest and we're having trouble getting past the 1700 mark. I just started actually playing arenas this week and managed to go 26/14 with a 1670 raiting (our actual record is 26/15 but I was 5boxing for the first loss and though what the hell, might as well break my cherry) . Not to bad considering it was really my first boxing in arenas and i was playing with a druid that just switched to resto and had never healed for a boxer before. We dominated the first two, lost 3 in a row, then went on a 7 game winning streak until we started facing teams almost full s4 :P We'll try again next week, I really want to get up to at least 1800. Might have to try and find an epiced out pally for that though. Before i hated arenas and just bought a new team and lost my 10 games every week so i didn't have to deal with it, now i'm kinda hooked. Even did some 3v3 games, went 12/5 the first night then logged on the next day and got my ass handed to me 3 games in a row. On a sidenote, anybody know if they are going to nurf tremor totems for wotlk? I haven't read anything about it and can't seem to find it anywhere. It would seriously suck to only be able to get one pulse every 3 seconds. But who knows, it's a long wayse off and thunderstorm might be as totally op as it looks.

OK.. As of now, I no longer see meself as successful multiboxer in arena.. My ratio this week is 1 to 6.. down to 1772 rating.. I highly doubt I will ever get to the 1950 that is my goal right now... I'm starting to think about quitting it all..

Not sure what's happening here. Is it common to become a very much worse player when your gear improves? :\

Exactly my points.. In Season3 I had full S1 + some REP parts (LC weapon and Badge shield), and I got to 1700..

Now I have 4 parts of s4 and 3 parts of s2, and I cant get higher than 1850 >,<? wth.. :>

One data point here that says this isn't true. I'm in Rampage, have all S3/S4, PvP epics in every slot, 420 resil, etc, etc and have been at it for about 2 months now, playing 20+ games a week. I'm not quite at 2000+.

serious arena players know what to do against boxers. above 1800 i expect each game to be very hard, specially when the arena system puts me playing against 2050+ rating teams lol.

It's the setups, the strats, but most of all, ppl know what to do against u. It's not only on one bg. it's allover eu.

but i relly find it funny how meny boxers just made 4 shamans when thay saw Aelli - Quad Boxing, and think pew that looks easy

it still takes skill and more then 10 games a week to lern

Reckoning here. Was aiming for 1800 and I got paired against 4 dps 2x shaman 1x warlock 1x rogue team that simply groundingd all my spells and tongues and stun lock my healer. Got this stupid setup 5x times before I called it a night and I ended up losing 20points per game to them. Ended down near 1600. Lost a couple more games the next day to some gladiators from s3 and I am now slowly rising back up past 1600 again.

I feel your pain, you can hit those rough spots where you just face either really good comps or really bad ones that are so odd but still somehow works against you. Just grit your teeth and keep playing through them.

I've seen A LOT of teams migrating away from cyclone battlegroup cause they couldn't get higher than 2050.. Now, most of em got 2200..
