I have noticed a lot of talk about leveling guides lately. Thought Kopp is my favorite on the Alliance side, there is one thing that he doesn't mention that I have noticed a lot of people forget about how much XP they can get from Cloth turn-ins. Under RAF the deal is even more sweeter. So while you are speeding thru the levels don't forget to visit your factions capitol cities and turn in Wool, Silk, Mageweave and Runecloth for a ton of super nice XP.
I actually did this last night because was to hit lvl48 before the weekend was over. I was about halfway through 47 and it was really late, but I was standing next to the cloth master and realized, "oh hey! I can get 48 by doing turn ins!" Sure enough I did! Not only that but my warlock (he was already 48) didn't do any turn ins so now my team has caught up with his XP. Stupid warlock pet quests. :p

How much XP are the quests using the RAF bonus? And, does the XP amount change based on the lvl that you are when you turn it in, meaing do you get 2k at lvl 20, but 4k at 30 or something like that?

I just spent the last day and a half trying to figure out how to get my team all caught up and now that I read this I just want to smack myself on the head. I have been going crazy trying to keep my 4 mages and a pally close but it never seems to happen. Now I just have to spend some of that hard earned gold and I can keep it close. My ADD doesn't like disorder or mismatched numbers :D

If I remember correctly Wool was still giving like 3k at 25, Silk was like 4k at that level. I would think even at 30 you could turn in wool and still get a nice bonus. With 5 racial turn-ins per each cloth type you are taking about some really nice, easy XP.

they're considered lvl 60 quests so the xp doesn't diminish even for wool. i haven't checked to see if they're still green at lvl 70 but wowhead says they won't go grey until 72

Mageweave + Runecloth will net you north of 42K. So, that translates to 1.3 levels if you do all 5 factions at level 50.

Wow great idea!
Erm.... how much do you need per toon?
mlwhitt

That being the case:
Donation of Wool ('http://thottbot.com/q7807') - Obtain at 12 (2850xp times 5 = 14,250xp )
Donation of Silk ('http://thottbot.com/q7808') - Obtain at 26 ( 21,600xp times 5 = 108,000xp)
Donation of Mageweave ('http://thottbot.com/q7817') - Obtain at 40 (14,250xp times 5 = 71,250xp)
Donation of Runecloth ('http://thottbot.com/q7805') - Obtain at 50 ( 28,650xp times 5 = 153,250 xp)
Total possible XP for cloth turn-in to all 5 races under RAF is 336,750 xp.

3 stacks of 20 cloth for each toon for each turn-in type.

Let's say you do the turn-ins at the level they turn available:
12 for Wool. XP To level at 12 is 9800, 13 is 11,000 you are looking at getting 1.55 levels for all 5 turn-ins. Or if you did right at level 12, you will be a bit over 13.5 once turned in.
26 for Silk will get you over 3 levels. (total Xp for 26 thru 28 is 96,600) and will get you about 1/3 into 29.
40 for Mageweave will get you 95% to 41.
50 for Runecloth will get you 25% into 51.
Total levels you can gain from cloth turn-ins (under RAF) is just over 6 levels if you do each turn in as soon as they come open to you.

So.. if the wowhead is right that they are green untill 72.. then.. what about saving up tons of cloth for expansion and instantly turn in up to 72... ? i have never used this but would that be an idea if we could get an confirm on this ?

The actual xp for silk is 7200, I believe. 2400 is the base value and 3x 2400=7200. Still, it's a nice xp bump for that level range.

Thanks for mentioning this. I'll include this in the next portion of my guide.
Do it for all available vendors. I only counted 4 horde side. I guess they added one for Silvermoon I didn't think of.

Edit: oops, looks like I had an extra 900000 in runecloth somehow...guess it doesn't pay to do math in the A.M.
Doing all of the cloth turn-ins (wool, silk, mageweave, and runecloth) at lvl 50 will net 1,074,000 xp with RAF.How is that possible? If you correct mlwhitt's mistake with the silk turn in only being 36,000, you get 274,750 turning everything to all five factions, not over one million.

I haven't dealt with the cloth turn ins; I assume they're like any repeatable quest where only the first turn in gives xp?
mlwhitt

Yeah, other turn ins are for Rep only.

According to Thottbot 7200 is the base. http://thottbot.com/q7808 ('http://thottbot.com/q7808')
Looks like WoWHead's figures ('http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=7793') disagree. In this case without actually doing a turn in I would agree with Accretion and go with the lower 2400xp amount.
Thanks for the great tip.
It is going to feel just as good as turning the pages of Green Hills of Stranglethorn in.
