Hey guys, I just started the recruit a friend about 10 days ago and leveled a warrior/mage to 35, then switched to warrior/priest since that's originally what I wanted. I had a priest at 35 for a while. I'm gonna gift the mage to 60. Anyway, not the point. My question is has anyone tried tanking and healing at the same time in an instance group? I'm hoping to tank with my warrior and heal with my priest in the 70's instances and possibly heroics. My plan was to get keyclone, setup the F1-F5 keys on my priest to target and unbind them on my warrior, then setup keybinds for each heal spell and just memorize player setup and the keybinds for my priest, then just focus on tanking with my warrior. Use the F keys to switch to my targets for my priest and use the keybinds to heal. Is that the best way to do it or does anyone have a better idea?

I'd imagnie that it would be more difficult for a warrior because without an AoE ability that really holds aggro well, you could easily pull aggro on the priest from simply healing. To not pull aggro, you have to be super busy on the warrior, giving less time to really pay attention to the priest and healing.

As a paladin, its super easy, because you can hit consecrate, and be done with it.

I have healed my feral many times when I have tanked with her as Feral. Helps if you either A) are running an lower outland instance to get the hang of it. Also when doing so you really need to have someone else off heal everyone else. It gets a bit hard tanking and healing other than your tank. I have managed to do so before but unlike when you are 5 boxing your own team if you are just dual-boxing a tank/healer combo it really boils down to the other 3 players doing a good job at keeping aggro down.

I was just wondering if my plan is sound. Like I said, I'm thinking the theory should work. I've healed raids and stuff on my druid just using keystrokes so if I get everything memorized for my priest, technically it should work fantastic. F1-F5 for my party to target people for my priest, then keybinds for each specific heal. I'm hoping to just mainly focus on the warrior and use keybinds to toss heals on the rest of the group. I'm pretty excited to see if it works.
