I am brand spanking new to the community and fairly new to the concept of Dual Boxing. I have been flirting with the idea for a long time now because I have three accounts to my name, since I lost my discs to a friend who moved away and another set that met its end when going face to face with the caster on my chair.
Now I know when it comes to learning something new I should not jump into it and take it all on at once so I have been reading through the various resources this community has to offer such as the Wiki and user written guides all through out the forums.
So as my first experiment of sorts I have decided I would give two druids on one machine a shot first. I am utilizing the open source program AHK and I am aware of the very small chance that a GM in the worst of all moods may slap me with the almighty ban stick. As a precaution of course to prevent any real loss I have created the two druids on the accounts separate from my main. I am going to move up to Keyclone soon as my paypal account clears that validation stage.
So far I have noticed that the early levels being 1-6 involve just your basic spells such as Wrath and even auto attack since I have such a small mana pool. I plan to spec both Balance with points in resto to be able to maintain some healing on the pair. Should I have both characters maintain identical specs or should I have one of the two go for her resto points first then into balance?
Also I would like to have an idea of the challenges I am going to face running two druids as opposed to other classes or talent specs.
My system is fairly basic compared to those I have read up on but with my current job there is more then enough room for upgrades and eventually another system.
Intel Core Duo E6400 2x2.13 GHZ
2gigs RAM
NVIDIA GF 8600 GTS OC
250Gig HDD
Creative Spectre USB KB (I know that USB is frowned upon around here)
Logitech G5 Mouse:
NOSTROMO N52 Gamepad.
1x Acer AL1916W 19" Widescreen monitor
And now about the cookies... well... I don't really have any cookies but I have a lump of cat hair that massed in the bottom of my case you can have!
