View Full Version : Dualboxing UI with PiP (please rate)
Well been dual boxing my mages for about a week now so finally sat down and built myself a descent UI setup, just like to say the PiP of Keyclone makes for some interesting UI ideas.
Addons Used (some of them) :
Pitbull
Grid
Bartender 4
ButtonFacade
Prat
NECB
OMEN
Recount
Chinchilla (map addon)
Fubar + Extra's
Elkbuffbars
Anyway hope you like.

Looks great!
Can you toggle between the two chars?
I can but the ui goes wonky on the second so im just running a supped up bliz one till i figure out the PiP aspect problem, though i suspect its more to do with wow

hehe that's pretty nifty :) i'm guessing you have region2 set to be always on top right?
10/10 :)
yea it is and also had to set the comand to be in foreground for some reason PiP seems a bit glitch to be honest with making 1 region on top of the other always im still tweaking it.
the nice thing is where its just below my hot bar if i need to aoe on and instance run i hit the hot key and just move mouse over it and click quickly it works really well.
only time i really switch is for some quests and selling up hardly ever switch them, just useful if your main dies or something.
something im still trying to figure out is the how the aspect ratios work so that i can have same ui on both screens at moment due to the shrinking of the second region it offsets the ui really wierdly if i figure it out ill post up what it was, also thinking of sticking the whole setup on wowinterface if enough people are interested.

wondering how your bottom section is done. Is that custom artwork that you have your chat, dmg meters, etc nested in? a specific addon?
The frames done with the following addons
Bartender4 + ButtonFacade - Used to do all my hotbars i use the Facade Style "Roth".
KgPanels + SharedMediaLib for the Roth Border (i modified this as i didnt like the transparency) for the general panel layout.
and Apperture to add a letterbox to my view port.
then the PiP frame is just set to always on top.
Edited: because its late and my brain cant spell this time of night.

Doesn't stacking 2 wows on eachother cause additional use of memory? I mean assuming your computer is a beast it'd be no problem.. But this has inspired me to do this with all 4 of my wow's.. Of course maybe something like this on 2 monitors.. But that's just being crazy.
I am about to set up a 4 client version so i will let you know.

Tried the same kind of thing quickly this morning with my rogue/priest.
Works very nicely, as I don't need to see the buttons/screen on my priest. Just need to know if he's still on follow.
Ty for the idea Nogs, it looks sweet how you've integrated it into your UI art.

Very nice
I still don't know how people use pitbull. Takes me far too long to setup compared to x-perl

I still don't know how people use pitbull. Takes me far too long to setup compared to x-perlSet it up once on a solo character, then copy the settings over to the others. Restart WoW and go go. I won't use anything _but_ Pitbull. It allows so many options and config changes for information that it's incredible.

I'm just starting to figure this multi-boxing thing out and would like to know if you ever posted this ui setup on wowinterface?
