Is there a way to set affinity when you load the game? Or do you always have to Ctrl-Alt-Del and do it that way?

set processor affinity to 15 ( quad core) in the config.wtf (originally set at 3 - dual core)
the specify the cores you are using with Keyclone (if you are using it of course)

I am sorry but I don't follow the both of you at all. What are you talking about? I get the cpu affinity thing but what does crtl alt del have to do with it?
From what I understand you just load keyclone and assign from there.
What is this config file affinity thing you speak of.

With ctrl+alt+delete you open the taskmanager in which you can see what processes and programs are running atm. If you have a duel-core/quad-core you set on which of the 2/4 cpus you want a specific process to run on by rightclicking the processname.
And in the config.wtf I think setting it to 15 will make WoW run on all 4 cpus, this will maixmize the performance.

yea but cant you just use keyclone for this? I did it just in keyclone and all my processors are being used. Mebbe I am missing something.

when you set it up in keyclone do you have to set it up everytime you load keyclone or does it save the settings and automatically set the cpu affinity when you load it up?

Failing all else, you can manually specify, using macros, octopus (maybe keyclone?) your own CVars... using /console processAffinityMask

I think you are. I didn't see the original poster mention anywhere that he's using Keyclone.
That aside, there's absolutely no excuse for posting this question when a quick SEARCH for the word affinity answers the question many times over on the first page, either with or without Keyclone X(

Now all of you march right to the front of the room and write, 10 times on the board "I will always use the search button!". :P

It's super easy and yes works for vista 64bit. you select wow.exe and every time you use it (even different folders) it sets it to 15.
This has helped me ALLOT

when you set it up in keyclone do you have to set it up everytime you load keyclone or does it save the settings and automatically set the cpu affinity when you load it up? yes, keyclone saves the cpu-affinity in the command definition. when you run your command, along with various account settings, keymaps, and maximizer region... it will also set the cpu affinity
