Well, I wanted to make a quick post and introduce myself. In general I go by TheJoe. I've been a multiboxer for almost 10 years. I have a quick history of my multiboxing typed up at: History of my multiboxing ('http://www.orderofz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79')

I took a break from mainstream MMO's for a little while and started playing WoW around the end of May 2008. I joined the Emerald Dream RP-PvP server and started my guild there. (there's a group of about 20 of us that have been gaming together for years)

I found that I missed multiboxing and started doing it in WoW about a month ago. I decided to make some quick videos and post them on our site. [ Multiboxing ('http://www.orderofz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36') ]

I have been doing pretty well with a single shaman, three hunter team. WoW so far seems the easist game to multi-box in, from my experience. I found this site somewhere in the process. (Been a lurker for a while) I chose the shaman/hunter combo so I can learn how to play a shaman. From what I have been reading it seems the 5 shaman team is the way to go. I can see why.

I am now re-configuring my setup to go to 9/10 boxing. I've posted plans and some stuff at Here ('http://www.orderofz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80') and Here ('http://www.orderofz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83')

I am avid xkeys user and as far as I know, I was an early adopter of xkeys years ago. (bought 1 then 6 more once they were out) My multiboxing configuration has been as large as 40 PC's with 3 Belkin 2x16 matrix KVM's.

I definitely get a kick out of doing this and it's great to have found a community like this!

Welcome TheJoeDotCom!

When I saw you bringing up your four clients I thought about ducking out of work, running home and firing my guys up.

What's funny is I just found your how-to video this morning (I commented on one) and I thought to myself "why isn't he on the forums?"

Nice! I saw you mentioned Entropia Universe. I played that game on and off since beta, but finally just 6 months ago I cashed out and am done with the game. There were many bumps along the road (and many people bashing that game) but all I know is I actually MADE a nice chunk of money from playing it ;D
I consider myself lucky not to among those who lost $1000+ in a month's time.

Thanks for the welcomes. On the 40 box set up. Back in the day, tools for multiboxing were few and far between. I also had very specific setups (hardware wise) for each of the games I played. So, I had systems for EQ, SWG, and EQ2. Plus, I was part of a test bed for OC-3 (fiber) to the home, so I had a bunch of servers running. Hence the 40 boxes.

On the Entropia Universe note, I still go in from time to time, I've been playing since Project Entropia days. The RCE (real cash economy) is very appealing to me. It's just not feasible to multi. I still make a decent chunk of change from that game. (Entropia is more like work and WoW is more fun)

Thanks again guys.
