I tried priest/mage so far, its awkward but interesting.
I simply wanted to ask to any 2-boxer, what combo of classes worked for you?
Since I am quite certain that some combos a non-viable, I merely wanted to verify if some were more performing than others.
Thanks

Before I started 5 boxing, I had 2 lvl 70's on the same account (Shadow Priest and Fury/Prot Warrior). I transferred one to another account and I played them as a 2 boxing farmer team. With the warrior as the main and the priest tagging along behind.
It worked out pretty well. Usually, I'd charge the mob, put VE up with the priest, mindflay once or twice, while continually doing my thing on the warrior. The mob almost always drops after 2 mindflays. I switch it up and will only mindflay once and do wanding after to conserve mana.
I could farm quite a bit faster than just with 1 of those characters. It was pretty fun.
In my opinion, you either need to do a healing class with a warrior, or 2 straight DPS classes (locks, mages, hunters?).

As long as you don't take two meleers you should be fine, although even two meleers can work if you're just doing pve with just two characters, but if you ever want to expand to pvp/more characters you'll start having a rough time. Casters are usually preferred since they generally have good range, no deadzone, and have things they can do even if they aren't facing their target. Their typical low survivability gets covered by killing things before they get a chance to do much damage.
A shaman is a good choice no matter what they are teamed up with. Healing, casting, totems, mail+shield, and even a res and a wipe protection. You can make use of their melee while you pve with two, and can go into full caster if you ever want to expand.
