Hello, my name is Ditto :D
well it really isnt, its just my dual-boxing name.

I recently bought 4 copies of wow and recruited myself so I could start to multi-box,
and what a joy it is! I've killed some alliance groups and they dont stand a chance versus my burst.

btw. I'm boxing 4 orc shamans: Dtto, Dtto, Dtto and Dtto, you know like "same as he said". only "same as he did" :P

anyway, I started in mulgore with some problems making macros.
I use the common /assist Dtto /cast lightning bolt, but it seems like when i change targets and try to cast for instance a lesser healing wave the targets stick to their old for the first cast :S

say your casting lightning bolts on a boar and you have to switch targets to heal a Ditto :D and when you switch targets from the boar to Ditto to heal it will heal self instead of the player your main has targeted since it cast a heal before it change the target and therefore it will heal self..

maybe I just found a solution to this, I dont know, will it help if I disable auto self cast?

I can't test this right now since im at work.

this was suposed to be a sort of blogg, but it turned out to something like a mix, idno..

happy boxing guys!! :D

Ditto

This is a problem you will have to get used to... but when adapted to it you hardly notice it.

it has to do with the ingame blizzard code, and the speed in which a TargetsTarget gets updated (same with focustarget, etc)

when you know this, you get used to it... often when im killing mobs which for instance take 2 rounds of lightning bolts to kill and there are multiple mobs i do the following

press2 (my lightning bolt button), they fire
press2, and WHILE casting select the next target
press2, they start casting on the next target, since it was already updated to the other characters in time

same with healing, select the character to receive heals, wait 0.5 seconds, press heal buttong

To make sure you never get toooo late with heals
i bound my F1 to F5 key's with the following macro
/cast [target="charname"] Lesser healing wave
1 for 1 char
press F1 and 5 lesser healing waves hit the target in the fastest time

under F6 i have
/cast [target="charname+1"] Chain Heal
by +1 i mean every character casts it on the next character i use...

press F6 incase of multiple damage, and 2 seconds later they are all full of health

Good luck with your travels

Noticed it myself that there is some lag kind of when shifting targets. /assist isn't always instant. :p

I suppose, as mentioned, once you got used to it, it wouldn't really effect anything.
