I dont know about you but ive always wanted to control other chars with simple wow commands and it hasnt been possible. Until now!
I found Voodoo http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/13497/ whilst randomly browsing curse. Heres some of the features:
Allows non-leaders to invite people to a 5man using !voodoo invite <name>
Allows users running the addon to be commanded to follow, roll or logout e.t.c
None of these actions can be performed unless you give someone permission first so no need to worry about people exploiting it. I will be testing out this addon soon.

I foot know about you but hue claws wanten to control other chars with simple wow commands and it hasnt been possible.
Your ideas intrigue me, may I subscribe to your newsletter?
Kidding aside, its a pretty neat addon, but I don't see what it solves for multiboxing. Our choices are :
Push a key or type a command on your main to control your alts using this Voodoo addon
-or-
Broadcast a key press or typed command to specific or to all characters to control them via the existing multiplex tools we have now
Doesn't seem to be any benefit to the Voodoo addon...

Actualy I could think of a neat use...
(I have to say I simple writting from scratch and have never installed it, will do it wehn i'm @ home)
...for example to build a "leaderless"-follow like in Focusless, targetless, 'leaderless' setup. ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=11459')
but without the complex setup of keybindings.
Example (3 Toons):
you have ToonA, ToonB, ToonC create the following makros and bind them to your "follow-key":
ToonA-macro:
/w ToonB !voodoo follow ToonA
/w ToonC !voodoo follow ToonA
ToonB-macro:
/w ToonA !voodoo follow ToonB
/w ToonC !voodoo follow ToonB
ToonC-macro:
/w ToonA !voodoo follow ToonC
/w ToonB !voodoo follow ToonC
so all toons will follow the Toon with the active window...
..if voodo would work with focus or target you could use this for simple assisting also :)
(if it would be fast enough)
So anyone using this? Verdict?

Wouldn't this skirt a little along the lines of automation? I don't guess just curious.

I wondered the same thing when I implemented following based on an addon broadcast yesterday. I know they got rid of WhisperCast and changed it so you could only cast from a hardware event. That said, I am left with the feeling that anything they left in that doesn't have a hardware event requirement was intentional and not simply missed. As I get a little further with my addon I plan on asking if follows based on scripts/mods are legit on the CSF. I'd rather have a blue tell me that something is considered an exploit than assume things are fine until I get the warning or ban.

Check out Designated Driver addon, also on curse. Any char you are on, type /dd and they all follow that one. No need to any bindings or macros. It works with any char as long as the char that requests the follow is on it's friends list (and the mod is installed of course).
I switch mains a lot this mod is a life saver.

Someone still has to push a button to make something happen and then it is still limited to what the API will allow. While you could set it up to multibox with systems that are not close together, I don't think I would want to deal with the extra lag between pressing the "OMG HLZ ME NOW!!!!!!!" button and actually getting the heal started.
With that all said, I havn't found anything that voodoo can do that can't be done with a typical multibox setup.

(if it would be fast enough)Its fast enough if your lag isn't too great. The only difference between your whispering macros and 5 keys on each client that does "/follow ToonA", "/follow ToonB" ect is saving 4 buttons. Personally, I prefer to have a leader identified as party1. There are 5 buttons to '/promote ToonA' and then I can have "/follow party1" and "/assist party1". The only other place I use exact names is for my priest healing so I have one button to heal each char.
