just need quick confirmation... Don't want to spend a lot of money and completely have it not work!

5 new accounts:

Account 1, non-recruited --> Recruits Account 2
Account 2 --> Recruits Account 3
Account 3 --> Recruits Account 4
Account 4 --> Recruits Account 5
Account 5 - Nothing

it's a basic setup if there ever was one... Just making sure that all 5 characters will get the 300% correct? thanks!

Hello RAF thread #342897:

As long as the characters meet all the OTHER restrictions of the Recruit - A - Friend Triple XP, then yes.

The current FAQ-interpretation-lazyness-fee rate is 50 gold, please send to Skidder on Stormrage-US.
Thanks !

#1 - Recruits all 4 other accountsYou sure it won't work my way? I would rather it be spread out like that.

They are all technically linked to another person in the party.

Both ways work fine as far as 300% exp goes.

Your way means you get a mount on 4 accounts. The other way means you can spend all the gifted levels on account 1.

If you do this:
1->2
1->3
2->4
2->5
then both account 1 and 2 will get a free level 60 when your teams gets to 60.

Q: So if I used Recruit-a-Friend to invite someone and they used the code, upgraded their account and they used Recruit-a-Friend on another friend; if all three of us were grouped together, what happens to the experience gain?

A: All three party members would receive a boosted experience gain, but only up to 300%.

There's about 900 eleventy billion threads on this already, please read before posting!

it's a basic setup if there ever was one... Just making sure that all 5 characters will get the 300% correct? thanks!I BELIEVE this will work, because Account 5 isn't "nothing", it's the RAF-ee (Rather than the veteran account RAF-er) of Account 4. So account 1 would have to group with account 2 for the bonus, 2 could group with 1 (as the RAF-ee) for bonus, or 3 (as the RAF-er), 3 could group with 2 and 4 for the same reason, as would 4 with 3 and 5, and then 5 would have to group with 4 as the RAF-ee for the bonus. But with all 5 grouped together, everyone is related to the other in some way, and thus all should get the 300% bonus.

Is there a way about it so that all 5 get a mount? Maybe a way to use an exsiting account of mine to get all 5 new ones a mount?

It was my understanding that the veteran got the mount, not the new account. So in this case 4 of 5 (1-4, but not account 5) would get it. There isn't a way I know of to get the 5th account a mount short of RAFing a 6th account and buying 2 months subscription for it, and that seems excessive.

To add to the RAF crazyness, I'm considering it more and more each day.

I have 3 accounts currently.

1 - Main account, 3 70's tons of alts over 40+ little room for more. would benefit most from gifted levels because 40-60 sucks, but don't have room really to start new teams with.
2 - one halfway leveled toon currently
3 - one halfway leveled toon currently

So, if I'm going to get 2 more accounts, do I go 1>4, 2>5, and leave 3 unlinked? This would give me levels fast on alts I want to get to outland but am too bored with azeroth to play, but if I'm just using 2345 to quest with and make 4 man teams, anything on 3 will get outleveled fast because it doesn't get the bonus. If I go 2>4, 3>5, that doesn't help anyone on 1, but I'll have equal xp gaining teams. Do I refer them all from 1 so I can grant twice as many levels on toons on that account? Do I just refer a 6th from 4 and transfer from 3-6 so all are linked? Damn this is confusing ?(

Anyone have any advice?

I would do the same in your case also. RAF only works with 1 of your existing accounts ( as far as multiboxing + getting the 300% goes )

I have a 70 on an account, and a 70 on another... and im just letting their time expire because I cant afford to run this many!

I have a 70 on an account, and a 70 on another... and im just letting their time expire because I cant afford to run this many!I hear ya. Then it comes down to hardware and $$. I can run 3 decent in pve, but for pvp, I'll need to upgrade anyway, the framerates on my craptastic 6 year old Dell just isn't cutting it. for 4 or 5 I might get away with leveling, if I stay out of cities with all 5 so they don't crash. So, decision I'm going to have to make regardless, do I drop like 900-1000 on a new tower (been shopping around for parts lately / basic systems with tons of cpu/graphics power) so I can continue to box effectively, probably upgrading to 4-5 in the process because, why not, I'll have the hardware to do so. Or do I just say screw boxing entirely, play my shammies endgame solo, (could spec them all 3 ways) focus on raiding and pvp.

Damn I either need a better, more entertaining GF or need to win the lotto.

Upgrade man... Keep the case, buy a $200 graphics card, a $200 processor, a $70 power supply, $100 of RAM, a $100 mobo, and a few fans/thermal paste.

Around $700 for a rig that will run 5. ( if you need links to what parts to get I can help ya )

I can keep the dvd/r drives, monitor/kb/mouse, and maybe the 250gig hardrive I've dropped in my dell, but not really for the rest. The case is built weird, so I'm thinkin I can't just replace some of the guts with them fitting right. Bigger power supply, new case, new MB/CPU combo, graphics card, etc. I had a wishlist goin on tiger direct, thinkin of the following parts -

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3436149&CatId=1079

Might be overkill, but hey, I'm a boxer, I overkill everything.

Might be overkill, but hey, I'm a boxer, I overkill everything.Case - I would go with a coolermaster http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119047 ... they are the most popular cases around, and for a reason. ( it fits everything in my case at just the perfect size , and keeps my rig QUIET )
Video card - Beef it up, that will bottle neck your rig. I recommend a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129113 ... best bang for your buck on the market right now.
RAM - You NEED 4GB+ for multiboxing. The ram you chose is fine, but double that Quantity!
Processor/Mobo - Good choice, I see no problems there
Power Supply - Great power supply, but if I were you... go with the new and exciting Modular cable system. ( I have the exact PSU as the one linked, except Modular )... Modular is designed so you only use the cables you need, it cut my case clutter in 1/2 easily ( and only for a bit more $$ )

Vid card and ram, was going to buy two of each anyway. I don't know if speed or size is better for ram, but figured 4 gigs of 1066 ddr2 would cover both bases. Vid card, well 2 8800's are cheaper than the one you linked. Everything I'm getting is SLI ready, so I assume that'll count for something. will look into this further.....

good call on modular cables, never thought of that. New egg has the same psu modular for just a little more.

This would be my first full computer build, not too overly worried, since I've worked on my own computer before. just worried I'm gonna forget something important.

lol sorry to derail so badly, I have a habit of doing that. actually, I'm not sorry, with sooo many RAF threads, thought I'd make this one interesting.

to get all 5 accounts to get the 300% bonus you need to set it up like thing.

#1 - Recruits all 4 other accounts
I try not to post in RaF threads that don't ask anything new. I also try not to post in threads that are SO badly derailed, but here I am :)

I just want to make sure people who come back to this thread in the future, perhaps as a result of a search (*gasp*) don't take the above as correct, because it's not. It'll work, but it's by far not the only way of doing it and I would argue not the best way of doing it.

You can recruit the characters in a whole LOAD of different ways. The only important thing for the 300% bonus is that each of the five characters is linked to another in the team. Other than that, the considerations are who can grant levels to whom and which accounts get the special mounts (*yawn*).

Account 1, non-recruited --> Recruits Account 2
Account 2 --> Recruits Account 3
Account 3 --> Recruits Account 4
Account 4 --> Recruits Account 5
Account 5 - Nothing
Yes, this is a good way to set things up.
