Hey Guys,
Finally got my quad box - 1 PC setup running smoothly, dinged 17 within like 3-4 hrs. Heres my question
Is there a way to pass looting with only 1 Character in control? Like when 1 guys bag gets full it automatically moves the loot to the next one, or would I physically have to open each window and do the loot? I find making money to even train spells kind of hard as I rolled a new server for all these guys apart from my main.
Thanks in advance!
Hello, I am sorry - but I am totally new to multiboxing aswell.
I was just wondernig if you could help me out with the TAKING QUEST problem and turning in quests..
I dual box on 2 computers, but it seems like when I click the quest master on my main computer, nothing happends on the 3 slaves on the other computer.
Is there anything to do to make this smart? Cause follow ups and so on I can't share if I cant turn the previous ones in.
I am using Keyclone btw.
Oh, and could you help and explain to me what keymaps is?
Please help me out! :S

For the quest accepting
Automation of Quests (Including Slaves) ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=7010')
Or, what I do is just accept with one, and if its shareable, share it out and use the AUTO RES/RELEASE/ACCEPT/TRADE macro

Majs - Get the multiboxer v2 addon - it will help with alot of the automation of quests (not all, but some)
Shroom - as for looting - I think you're gonna have to manually loot on each. There are addons that will auto-pass on stuff that needs to be rolled on, but to pick stuff up on another toon you'll need to click on stuff in their screen.
Can;'t help with keymaps. That's something I'd like to know too..prob gonna have to use the search on the forums here =)
Its not the problem to accept the quest. Its more the problem to go and talk with the NPC on all the slaves and take the quest, and turn it in.
I mean, if you are on a follow up, and you go and complete it, and wants to turn it in.. what you do? How to talk to the NPC with all the slaves and so on?
I use keyclone still, you got some nifty settings or tips? Only problem I have before I can start dualboxing ;(

I believe that to do a proper multibox of any kind, you should always have a quick way to go look at the other windows. You're still going to be perfectly able to move each solitary character using the mouse to move around, loot, and accept when necessary. I've been 5 boxing now, and I keep One nearly maximized window in the center (widescreen monitor) with like a half inch of space open on the right and left sides of the screen. Each other window sits in one of the 4 corners, mostly out of view. To use them alone, I just click that corner and play them with the mouse as needed. It's not a lot of work to do it this way. I *am* on a Mac, but I assume it would work the same on Windows.

People have told me that Octopus can mimic where the mouse is + keyclicks, but I think it's too much effort than its worth.
With the looting, no it's all manual, unless you use master looter to designate greens+. However that will mean you miss out on junk + money for the other chars.
If you have multiple monitors, use the maximiser that's inbuilt in Keyclone, it works wonders.
You will have to manually switch screens and loot if you are doing a quest which requires you to pick stuff up. If it's just a case of bags being full, open up a trade window with a slave character, chuck in some junk then make sure you have this macro on the slave - /script AccepTrade() - then viola. Traded without switching windows. No need to get mods to change loot etc etc.
With accepting quests, if it doesnt give you an item just accept the quest on the main, open it up, share, then use this macro on the slaves - /script AcceptQuest
Keymapping is for use with mouse clicks i believe? Or pressing one button, for instance ENTER on your main and it presses / on your slaves?
