My new team of Shams recently hit 70 and woot Im happy. Now comes the problem. I can play any BG fairly well but now with my crew im having a little difficulty.

Difficulty in terms of me being rolled almost everywhere I go LOL! It has become frustrating to say the least. This is my second group to hit the top and I understand the mechanics of each BG.

Within a weeks time I'v only managed to compile 10k honor points and I play frequently. I'm starting to feel a little hesitant to enter a BG now. LOL

I'd like to know how other newly hit 70's deal with the begining honor grind? Also, the constant "Oh we'll, another five boxer. Here we lose again" remarks are driving me insane . How do many of you cope withthe remarks?

Thanks!

10k honor in weeks? I grinded out 25k in 4 days, and most of that was waiting in the alliance AV queue. As a multiboxer, the best bet is to play AV - your 5 men will be the lowest % of your team there. Even if you lose, AV queues for horde should be very fast and you get good honor by capping towers. I've seen horde win rounds in 12-16 minutes with 400-600 honor.. or lose in 12-16 minutes and still walk away with 300-400 honor.

It gets better. Hang in there.
I've levelled 2 5-box teams through the honor grind to full glads and believe me the beginning sucks.

Take a look at Boylston's guide to BG's though it's very good:

I've seen horde win rounds in 12-16 minutes with 400-600 honor.. or lose in 12-16 minutes and still walk away with 300-400 honor. This is NOT necessarily typical. I've done 25 matches so far (21 AV, 2 AB, 2 EotS), and only pulled in 7k honor, and that took days.

If you're side on your battlegroup tends to lose a lot, you'll get about half the honor you list above, and it takes more like DOUBLE the time. Gods, I hate when people give these fictional half-times and claim that's typical. It is for one side ONLY.

It's like claiming that you only need 7 matches in EotS to be able to get the marks for the Merciless weapon. From what I'm seeing and hearing on my server, it'll take more like 20 long, agonizing, infuriating matches that make you want to tear the devs a new one for making it possible to be so one-sided.

How geared are your shams? Now that you are in the 70 bg group (except for av which is 61-70, where 80% are 70), you are going against people that probably have s2 gear. With that gear it is harder to kill them and easier for them to kill you if you don't have season gear. Best spot to grind is 69 were the only bg that has season gear is av. But anyways you are 70 now, i say do av until you get some pvp gear. Like everyone is saying your boxing will not hurt the numbers.

ignore them or say you need your token just the same as everyone else.

AV: take and defend a tower until it burns. it's guaranteed honor when you burn a tower.

EotS: take and defend enclosed area like Maage Tower or Blood Elf. Fire Nova wins in there.

AB: I like playing offense and roam to areas that are least defended. By the time I get there, my EM-NS-CL is up to get me some kills.

WSG: I've done the defense sitting on the flag with a forest of totems. If you have a good flag runner, I come out and support with frost shocks, staggered totems and pick off loners with EM-NS-CL.

I also tend to only play BG when it's the weekend bonus. And play 5-man faction farming otherwise.

It's about time efficiency. You either have time to honor, arena, badges, gold (daily), some blue drops, or reps (and even tradeskills)--not many overlap.
