Hey guys,
I really love my shamans but i cant really do heroics, and i like leveling. So i want to start a second team.
I always liked Bradster videos about his 1 priest 4 warlocks, but he have stopped playing his team on 70. Because he cant do arena/heroics/little instances.
So i dont want that setup.
I am looking for a new fun setup that can do heroics and that are good in pvp, or just one of those aspects.
With my 4 shamans 1 paladin i cant do heroics, wich i really would love to do. I wish i made 5. I tried to level a 5th one but it just goes too slow for me.
Anyone can help me out?
I am not saying im rerolling, i just like to have fun with a second group over time :)

My main is a 70 Druid and though I am working on my 5 Box Shaman team right now I am planning a 5 box Druid team next.
I am thinking Feral, 3 x Moonkin and a Resto. Sure Bears are a bit harder to tank with but it would be fun.

What's hanging you up on doing heroics? Gear? Lack of healing?...I've read several people say that they've switched one of the elemental shaman to resto to run heroics.

That's one. His pally has nearly identical gear as mine, and I know I'm undergeared for heroics. As multiboxers, we're going to need some extra gear to compensate for lack of mobility and multitasking overhead, especially without a dedicated healer. The DPS boost from grinding out more PvP gear for the shammies will be a huge help for the step into heroics.. that's the direction I'm taking now.

My problem is that i THINK my paladin can handle the mobs, but i dont have any CC, and im sure i cant keep up healing myself up when 3 heroic elites are bumping me.
And i dont have gear for resto. But Aelli just told me that there are some easy heroics that hes sure off that i can do them. So i am going to try :)

I would recommend warlocks and/or shadow priests. You already have a paladin so you could run instances with them as well. The shadow damage stacking is tremendous and you gain a few great abilities your shaman don't have - dots, debuffs, and fear bombs. Fun stuff in pvp.

Fears will ruin your life in PVP. Whatever you do - make sure you have that covered - and a trinket every 2 mins won't quite cut it IMO. That was my biggest problem with my non-shaman setup. I got them to level 70 but getting feared drove me insane. I had 2xmage, pally, priest, shaman and fear just ruined my even with the 2 min pvp trinket.

5x druids -- not really pvp viable cuz of fear. dunno about heroics, but you could definitely have 3 moonkin, 1 feral tank, and 1 tree healer
4x hunter + healer -- would be awesome in pvp, though fear still a problem. substitute 1 hunter for your paladin, and you *should* be able to do heroics
4x warlock + priest -- would be really fun in pvp... fear protection w/ undead and dispel. substitute 1 warlock for your paladin and you may be able to do heroics
4x mage + healer -- not sure
5x priests -- will have trouble with instances, but could be really fun. probably the best fear protection around
You should be able to do heroics with your current set up. Respec one resto and gogogo. I'm not sure why you are having trouble with trash. On my old shaman group (5x shamans) I could clear trash (but not bosses) in heroic ramps without *too* much difficult, and they were all ele spec, decked out in quest greens/blues.
You probably already know this, but here's a review on fear-handling...
[name:cooldown, pre/post, self/others, duration/type]
ALL -- [trinket:2m, post, self, instant cleanse]
Mage -- [wotf:2m, post, self, 5s immunity]
Rogue -- [wotf:2m, post, self, 5s immunity]
Warlock -- [wotf:2m, post, self, 5s immunity]
Warrior -- [wotf:2m, post, self, 5s immunity][berserker rage:30s, pre, self, immunity 10s][death wish:3m, post, self, 30s immunity]
Priest -- [wotf:2m, post, self, 5s immunity][fear ward:3m, pre, self/others, 1 prevention][dispel/mass dispel: none, post, others, dispels magic-based fears]
Shaman -- [tremor totem: none, pre, self/others, removes fear every 5s
Paladin -- [bubble: 1m/5m, post, self/other, immunity from all for 10s][cleanse: none, post, others, dispels magic-based fears]
Hunter -- [TBW: 2m, pre?, self, immunity to all CC for 17s]
Druid --
To summarize... any undead class is going to be decent at fear control. Shaman and priest are both great at controlling fear for the party. Warrior is practically immune to fear by himself. Hunters and paladins are not terrible.
Druid is the worst class for fear. They can only trinket.

Thanks,
I am planning on first gearing up my paladin, so he is heroic ready. Then i will try how it works with 1 prot paladin and 4 elemental shamans. If it doesnt works i will spec one of my shamans restoration.
Does anyone have a site/guide with speccing/gearing a heroic-ready restoration shaman?
Since i dont know howmuch +healing i would need to be able to keep my paladin up.

OP: i suggest running normal instances first to get your healing gear imo, u can easly achieve a reasonable +healing with it, at the same time, (am not sure about your paladin gear) you can gear tanking stuff for the paladin, blues can get you started for heroics, gl :D am in similar set up as you are, but my shamanas still low
