Is there a master list of non-collection quests somewhere? My levelling has been going a little slow through complete lack of clue as to where to go next, so I'm thinking I should plan things out. Sadly, wowhead doesn't have a filter option for collection quests.

Well, I think the best you can hope for is a leveing guide like Bryan Koppfs (or whatever his name it) or Jaina's leveing guide (again, not sure the spelling).
Those have the fastest way to level to 70, so maybe a couple gathering quests, but only ones with good drop rates.

If you use any of the popular 1-60 guides out there you will find yourself well off. In general there are roughly 80% escort quests/kill quests/loot this one mob for his heart/beak/pants and then the other 20% is collect xx/xx items for me.
Just follow every step and skip every collectable quest (at least this was possible as a horde using Joana's guide) and you will outlevel the zone amazingly fast.
While levelling make sure that you do the green and yellow quests first. If you don't pay attention to the level of the quests, you might run out of quests. I got stuck at lvl 29, because I had outleveled all the green quests and already completed all the orange and red quests. I basically had to search the continent for quests to make it to the next level, because the next batch of quests only became available at lvl 30.

The best thing to do is mix up questing with instances. This has been working fine for me to level. I haven't really tried to use a guide yet.
I've got a step by step account of quests I've been completing with my RAF druid pair on the blog in my signature. It's no where close to being optimal and at present is only up to 28 but it skips collection quests and instances. Hopefully I'll be able to get it updated to the high 30's later tonight and 60 by the end of the weekend.
On a related note, Mulgore is horrible when it comes to quest chain's that start with a big old "Collect xx" quests, RAF barely got me out and even then a good chunk of the 1-10 range was earned from grinding between point a and point b.

I noticed last night that some low green quests weren't granting me triple xp. Apparently, the "trivial" caveat applies to green quests that are one level away from being gray quests. FYI...

Howdy! Some nice addons I'm using to level my characters are Tomtom, Tourguide and Lightheaded. One of the addons is a ingame leveling guide (Tourguide). Tomtom makes you have a big arrow (like the taxi console game from the 90's) that points you where to go and the Lightheaded addon takes all of the coments from wowhead ingame and when u click a quest in your questlog you can see the comments(and when you click the coördinates on the comments, Tourguide automaticly sets a waypoint and guides you there). You can easily skip the gathering guests and just do the kill quests. You can find all of the addons on www.curse.com ('http://www.curse.com/') .
Hope those addons might help! Triple quest exp is always way faster than grinding (10k exp would take you more time when just killing the stuff instead of getting that for each quest).

I think it would be cool if we could all help put together a quest guide suitable for RAF. It is kind of a basic MB friendly guide but due to RAF it would really be helpful sense a lot of us will be leveling several groups during the RAF period.
I think it would be cool to have a guide on what quests to do that will get you armor and weapons. Now that would be awesome! Especially sense a lot of us have level 10 gear and level 30 (maybe not that bad but close!)

I think i saw a post quoting a 'blue' that it is within 4 levels or something like that.

Those have the fastest way to level to 70, so maybe a couple gathering quests, but only ones with good drop rates.I have those, I tried them, they aren't all that suitable for multiboxing. They use a very specific path and sequence of quests. Many of those quests not only require you to be a certain class that can solo higher level quests (warlock, rogue, hunter), but also that you are solo and can do collection quests. I've found them really tough to use when leveling say, a warrior, paladin, priest, etc.
Their sequence of quests also requires you to ding a certain level by the end of each segment, which you most certaintly will not with a multiboxing group because of the lack of kill xp and the slow collection quests. You'd have to go grind out an instance to be up to speed.
Because they're speed leveling guides too, they really only give you one option. If you're on a pvp server and being ganked, or just hate a particular zone, you have to get info on the other quests yourself because the guide won't include ones that don't follow their path.

And BTW is it Jaina's leveing guide or Joana's Leveling Guide? I have seen it in a couple of posts here and i just wanted to confirm that.

It is Joana's @ http://www.joanasworld.com/
I am currently using her guide for my 4 box mages and have found that if you just do her "kill XX" that the 3X XP makes up for the lack of collection quests. I do occassionally stop to grind when I am in an area with yellow or orange mobs.
I use her guide as more of a rough outline to determine zone/mob quests than an actual "speed rush" guide.
Just dinged 30 last night with about 22 hours /played. At least an hour was set-up time, though, about another hour messing aroung with a friend in WC after the mobs were grey.

-StavOld post but wanted to say thanks for taking the time to list out the quests. I missed it my first go round but your efforts saved me considerable amounts of time when i finally found your post. thanks again.

New reply to a very old post. I came here hoping maybe to find a listing of the best quests to follow while RaF 5-boxing, and I'm not seeing any. Basically I have been doing Horde RaF leveling on various alts, and was hoping to find what to do on the Alliance side. Back about the time the last reply was made on *this* thread I was making one of my own on WoWHead for the Horde side, and it works nicely:
5-box Recruit A Friend leveling 4 toons with a 70+ (quests to get) ('http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=68405&p=723614')
I used basically the same thing when my Hunter was ~74 and in not so great gear, it just took longer than with him in decent gear. Now with my 80 Mage in great gear (Mage/Pally is amazing, as has been said 5 billion times now, for PLing with) it's very very fast if you don't loot everything in site.
I have been considering doing a handful of quests as well as the dungeons, but am not sure of the best ones to grab. Going to look at a few of the leveling guides and maybe do a new RaF writeup (if it's even needed).
