4xshaman + BM hunter for hero instance ?

I have searched in the forum , but I can rarelly find useful info for 4xshaman+1 BM hunter combo, mostly 5xshaman , or 4xshaman+pal, but how about 4xshaman +1hunter? Is there someone who have tried this combo for heroic instance ? Is it as efficiency as 5xshaman team? I have a 70 level hunter, I want to team it with 4xshaman for hearic instance running.

Advantage:

for boss, 4xearth/fire pet+ hunter's pet can tank.

for trash, hunter's frost trap can slow/root, then shaman can cast a little longer.

DisAdvantage:

hunter can't heal himself. hunter has no TOW except for BM hunter , after pet's crit hit, Ferocious Inspiration will increase 3% damage.

hunter's burst damage is not as huge as shaman(i think).

any comments are welcome.

You hunters pet will go splat in the time it takes you to blink.

You may have some joy come Wrath with a tenacity pet, but I'm afraid the above poster is right, your hunter pet will be a sacrificial lamb on heroic bosses I'm afriad.

With the right gear, you could simply zerg heroics in a similar way to 5 shammy teams, but tbh 5 shammies would be better because as you already identified, their burst is better.

thanks all,but I have heard in WLK, hunter's pet will be used to tank 5-person instance, maybe it's ok in WLK.

well ,anyway, it seemed 5xshaman is most suitable combo, but it's painful to level another one from 1 to 70.

and I am also thinking about 1mag + 4 shaman, the fire mage's burst is as good as ele shaman. morever, think about the buff, portal, food, drink, I can't wait to do it :)
