Since I single box my multiple accounts I was curious if many run a stripped down interface on their alts?

If so, whats best to keep around for usefulness and whats best to avoid?

Alts run with Omen, Assessment, Trinity Bars & Fubar (one or two addons). Omen to watch for threat, Assessment to work out who does the damage, Trinity Bars to get the bars where I want them, and especially to make some buttons really big so I can click easily, and fubar so I can see other stats.

When I am playing I treat all my secondary characters as alts, but that can change at anytime. If my main dies does that mean I just give up and let the rest of my guys die? Hell no, I swap to one of their screens, making that person the new main, and continue to give the hurtin. If I manage to escape with with the life of at least one of my guys then I can rezz everyone and keep going.

I have identical setups on all my screens so I can smoothly transition between characters with as little confusion as possible. If I am doing a quest where I need 10 snake guts then I kill them until my first character has 10, then swap to the next character and keep going until he has 10, and so. If my bags fill up with one person, I simply swap to a character with bag space and keep going.

As of last patch i threw away all addons on my alt machines and added only a few selected addons:

- twobox to relay chat to main
- itemrack
- smartbuff
- decursive
- massmail
- omen

On my main machine I have a lot more stuff.

I figure it this way, if my main dies in my setup the alts aren't going to have any healing and are essentially dead. I should also still be able to control my alts in that situation even with a dead main character... (just don't release so I can see battlefield)
