Hello DB Community!
I might as well introduce myself, I have been playing since the beginning of 2005, I have done mostly anything one can do in this game PvE and PvP wise and now I am looking at multiboxing,
Currently resides on the EU server of Stormreaver in which I have recently leveled 5x tauren shamans.

Hardware
2ghz single processor
2gb ram
Nvidia 6600 GT
Two 19" flatscreens
Going into orgrimmar really screws up my shitty comp but I have no troubles questing, going to questhubs, thunderbluff - it runs good enough for me to
have no issue with it. I am now level 56 with all my 5 characters since a week back (I haven't been able to play since last tuesday) and I did 1-56 from friday-tuesday,
long sittings which frankly made me stop for a while to sort other things out. Only about 2 days and a few hours played which is faster then I ever anticipated since this
is my first time around multiboxing.

What I experienced using Joanas 1-60 horde leveling guide (this post is no guide, just a general writeup)
1-6 Tauren starting area - took about 25 minutes
6-12 Mulgore - bit of an annoyance since there's alot of follow up quests unlockable by "collect xx/xx rare shit" so I skipped those and ended up with only a few kill quests but
they got me trough in about one and half hour.
12-17 The Barrens, mainly around x-roads and ratchet. Again skipped all collect different animal parts quest and focused on doing kill quests, no problem finishing to 17 with those.
17-19 Did the "kill x" quests in Stonetalon Mountain and got through no problem.
19-25 The Barrens, Camp Turajo, killed named mobs for their respective parts and some XR quests. Did the weapon collect quest, only collect quest at this bracket. Also went for a brief visit for some last quests in western and northern Stonetalon.
25-27 Did the "kill x" quests around Freewind Post in Thousand Needles and squeezed in 2 collect quests, the alien egg and the ore sample quests.
27-29 Did the "kill x" quests in Ashenvale.
29-31 Did the "kill x" and escort quest in Thousand needles (around whitereach post but also one or two in freewind post)
31-36 Desolace quests, most of the quests here were done but a few collect x quests (something about collecting meat from a centaur and catching fish for a troll).
36-38 Quests around Booty Bay (really easy at 38 with 5x shamans)
38-40 The big hunt quests to kill panthers, raptors and tigers.
40-43 Finishing up the elite hunt quests and "kill x" quests around Grom'Gol.
43-45 Tanaris "kill x" quests
45-47 Feralas "kill x" quests with one collect quest which I found necessary to do since it locked up a few nice "kill x" quests.
47-48 A few ashzara quests (as always kill x quests :P)
48-51 Searing Gorge quests, did everything... awesome quest hub (got 33 000 exp in the last part of a quest).
51-52 Tanaris/Feralas finish up with one or two quests in SoS.
52-54 Azshara quests, did them all.
54-55 Starting in Felwood, only did a few quests then moved on to Wintespring
55-56 Winterspring (where I am now, not done by far in either felwood nor winterspring but I estimate to be 57 and half when I move on to western plaguelands)
To come: 56-60 All kill x quests in Western Plaguelands, a few quests in Eastern Plaguelands (estimated)
And 2 days 10 hours~ played.

This list is just a writeup from memory but really I could skip any regions of the game I didn't like and only do the ones i like and come out of it even higher then the guide
says I should be. I skipped Un'Goru, I skipped Blasted Lands, I skipped alot of Swamps of Sorrow, I skipped Burning Steppes and I skipped Hinterlands. It was the most fun, fast and relaxing
leveling experience I have ever had in this game. I would like to thank the maker of Keyclone and the many guides written by the people of this good community.
Now I will start playing soon again and hopefully own up outlands before WotLK hits (oh dang for no 60-70 RaF experince :( )

Well thanks for reading my first post and respect to anyone who leveled before RaF - you are the real multiboxer heroes.

PS: Oh and I will purchase a better computer within the next month or two, I wouldn't want to PvP with this computer.

god i wish i could RAF.. but im not buyin new accounts:) Took me 6 hours to get to 10 on my locks.. but they kill slow and alot of time on macros:( It really is a bit unfair, but still the original multiboxer can feel more pride (hopefully) for doing it while it was hard!
And those damn macros and /follow malfunctions in tight corners probably is 10 hours/played :(

Also I might as well ask this here.

I am searching for some good totem macros for PvE instances, you know the kind that that are most suited and allround.
I guess I want something like "Main toon casts Tremor Totem -> Totem of Wrath -> Healing Stream totem (?) -> Whatever air totem (agility?)" and meanwhile the
first slave follow the cycle but starts with Totem of Wrath and have Tremor Totem as second totem. The second slave has tremor totem as third totem, third slave
as fourth totem and the last slave can have whatever he feels like... maybe stoneskin?

Maybe more experienced multiboxers can help me out, also provide me with the awesome macro?
Help a boxer out! ;)

RAF is OP. I'm about to start my third team from 1-60 and I think I'm going to set up macros before I create them, use some summoning tricks to save travel time, and log out instead of afking to see what kind of time I can get from 1-60. Just to keep myself interested and make the best use of the RAF 90 days. Although, /played can hardly be proven anymore with gift leveling. I'm sure there are some 10 minute /played 60's running around now.

Lets say:

Maintoon:
/castsequence [nomod] reset=7 Mana Spring Totem,Tremor Totem, Grace of Air Totem, Totem of Wrath
Slave1:
/castsequence [nomod] reset=7 Tremor Totem, Healing Stream Totem, Grounding Totem , Totem of Wrath
Slave2:
/castsequence [nomod] reset=7 Grounding Totem, Healing Stream Totem, Tremor Totem , Totem of Wrath
Slave 3:
/castsequence [nomod] reset=7 Totem of Wrath, Healing Stream Totem, Grounding Totem , Tremor Totem
Slave 4:
/castsequence [nomod] reset=7 Stoneskin Totem, Healing Stream Totem, Grounding Totem , Totem of Wrath

Looks good? Please share your totem macros for reference!

Nice writeup, I have jo's guide and was wondering how much of it the RAF would really cut out. FYI when WotLK launches the 60-70 levelling curve will be made quite alot easier. I'm going to use my 90 days of RAF to get 3 teams to 60 before WotLK, and do 60-80 later on :)

RaF cut out maybe 40 % of the guide, I did the parts I enjoy and skipped the parts I didn't like, you can always do hinterlands for example if you don't
like searing gorge etc. ( no reason you wouldn't, it's an awesome and fast quest hub!). If you don't like azshara go do burning steppes.
Leveling is so much different from when I first started playing... my first character had 21 days /played 1-60 LOL!

Not with RAF, but in general levelling from 60-70 is made easier, less XP required per lvl and more awarded per quest iirc, like they did 1-60. Just to ease the grind for those catching up without RAF I guess

I am quite envious of the RAF program but between my 8 accounts I have active I hardly have the cash flow for new RAF accounts at this time. I am hoping to get my new Warlock/priest team ready for WOTLK and if I can afford if then I will use the RAF services.

A good idea to set up macros before hand. Also use summoning to your best ability. An idea is to plan out what you want to do before hand, what quests and what not. then park some of you other toons at those locations. Jump on one of your other alts, summon main, then summon all the friends.

Ex. Water totem quest, had a mage at the water part, and one at TM. When I was doing my quests, i summoned to TM, then hearth to XR, when summon was back up later, i used the other for the final turn in near Sepulcher. HUGE Travel timesaver.

I love RAF btw.

Man that's nice, I'm over 6 days played just to hit 60 last weekend. Well I guess I can't say it was all a waste. i'm very Comfortable doing instances now. Also got to see some content this time around I skipped the first time (a few instances). That was neat. I also almost did a completely clear in BRD, I’m sure there was one or two I missed. I also did scholo this time around instead of strat. I will do strat after I’m finished with hellfire quests.

If you’re going to start doing instances normally BRD is a pretty decent one to start at to get the hang of it. Scholo is pretty hard. I picked up 2 deeds for the quest in there at level 58. I had to drink after every pull and it was a bit hard. So I went to the outlands got a level and about 6 -7 pieces of gear and came back. Was night and day, also dinged 60 while I was in there getting the other 2 deeds. Still a bit tough in there.

Your setup makes me think my computer might even be able to handle 5 going at once...if I had a bit more RAM....

Ah that's nice, a double post :( I might as well ask if any shamans have objections to my macro posted above!

Yeah that's probably good to have some testrun in a level 60 instance before going ramparts. Any 5 shaman boxer who can tell me if they could go ramparts at 61?~

Yeah for sure, it was a part of my post to show that anyone can multibox on a single core CPU and only 2gb' s of RAM, a little bit slowish at times but still managable!

After I realized that just handing in quests in a RAF pairing you got the bonus, I grinded all the strat quests with a 70 for BRD and then was able to hit UBRS/LBRS/WPL/EPL and do the quests there and ding like crazy. The big heavy hitting EPL 9k quests really do a lot. Pretty much so I wanted the onyxia keys made I spend a little silly time.

I have 4 shamans and a mage as the booster.

The only macro I have is the target party1 and heal. Designated Driver mod is a godsend for quickly swapping who is leader of the pack.

Summoning was done by a warlock and then by summon friend. No afk, always logged out when I wasn't at the screen.

Some time was taken at 40 to get mounts and training and learn brd as a booster.

The levelling process:

Level 1-10 Quested and played around a bit
Level 10-15 Boosted Deadmines, which is horrible for patrols
Level 15-20 Boosted Stockades, the beginning of fast xp
Level 20-40 Boosted Scarlet Monestary Cathedral and Armoury, 180,000xp/hour mostly
Level 40-50 Boosted BRD, two front loops only and sometimes the ring (and cross fingers for the right spawn)

Total time: 15 hours 20 mins

If you had it planned out, could swap a mage for a pally when it was better suited and didn't spend more time drinking than fighting on a mage, you could probably get it down to 10-12 hours.

There is some extremely fast levelling to be had at the moment.

Well can we disregard boosting times and such in this thread?
I had a guy who just boosted his 4 shamans and when he finally dinged 60 he just kept on boosting in stratholme towards 62 and on since he knew of nothing else,
he couldn't play a multibox setup good enough/efficient enough to level in outlands alone and last time I saw him online he was afk with his 4 shamans while the paladin stands
in a corner in stratholme.
