So I created 5 shamans for multiboxing. 1 shaman on my main account and set up 4 new accounts using 4 shamans. This is working good so far...in case anyone is interested in my machine to see how easy 5 wow copies can be run simultaneously:
Athlon X2 2.2GHz
3GB memory
GeForce 8600GT
Main window at 1024x768 windowed, no AA, most effects turned off, object distance far
4 background windows at 800x600 windowed, no AA, all effects off, object distance far
I also keep the 4 background windows open, not minimized - minimized actually seems to make things slower. I have all 4 clone windows behind my main window completely. I also use 5 separate directories (wow1 through wow5).
Anyway, my question is this. My 5 shamans are level 14 right now. My main account has a level 24 paladin on it - I was thinking about respeccing that paladin prot and having 1 pally x 4 shaman once my 4 clone shamans reach level 24, then abandoning my "primary" shaman from my main account. The question is there, will my Pally get the 3x XP bonus since technically the whole account is linked to 2 of my clone accounts? Also, is it best to play the pally tank as the "main" when using keyclone since you'll need to maneuver into melee range, etc?
Last question, is 1x pally 4x shaman good for pvp? I really want to do 5v5 arena once I hit 70(80), but I also want to do heroic instances as well. A little advice on which combo is better would be nice. I suppose I could just grant levels to my shaman once I hit 59 on my other 4 shamans and then have the pally and shaman both level to 70(80) so I could swap out the shaman for pvp, pally for pve, but I'm curious how good 1 pally 4 shamans is for pvp and how much better it really is for pve.
Ok I lied one more question. On my 5 shamans, 4 of them are level 14 now, one is level 13 - when I try to grant the level 13 shaman a level the "grant level" option is greyed out. Why is this? can you only grant levels to a character until they are 1 level below you? Thanks in advance everyone!
