AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edistion Quad core (2.5 GhZ) 64 Bit
4 Gig Corsair Ram
And Asus Geforce 8800 GT 1 GB DDR3
it would be terribly poor quality.

AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edistion Quad core (2.5 GhZ) 64 Bit
4 Gig Corsair Ram
And Asus Geforce 8800 GT 1 GB DDR3I run a Phenom 9800 with the TLB disabled (The 9850 doesn't suffer from the TLB Eratta) and 4GB of ram with an 8800GT (512) and do just fine.

As you can see, in shattrah, sound is enabled, all clients are set min settings except the master. I also 4 box shamans on this rig and have no problems with 4 clients in shattrah with all settings normal (far clip, high spell fx, etc) since I need to be able to switch leaders with my shamans..
Vista 32 big, so I'm not even getting the full 4GB of ram.

Lol, yeah. That is almost my setup and it run as smooth as silk. I don't even max out 2 processors and less than 3GB of ram.

Sina knows nothing.
I'm 5 boxing on an athlon x2 2.2GHz with 3GB of memory and a GeForce 8600GT with absolutely 0 issues. I'm running the 4 background wows in 800x600 with details all set to low (except object distance) and my main window at 1024x768 with some of the sliders up a bit with almost 0 FPS issues, even in orgrimmar I get decent FPS. I have 5 separate wow folders (3 on one HD, 2 on another) which makes a huge difference and I always set my CPU affinity manually which also makes a huge difference.
I also have a 6th wow folder (the main one that I installed originally) that I use whenever I am playing only a single character (like one of my 70s) that has all addons, full graphics settings, etc.
Don't listen to the elitists that say you have to have a top of the line system to 5 box - they're retarded. The fact that people are asking if things like a quad core system with 4GB of memory and a 9800 series graphics card will be enough to 5 box boggles me, since theres tons of posts from people with far less powerful hardware saying they 5 box just fine.

What size of monitor do you guys use to get the 1900X1200? From what I remember you can only get that from a 24' inch? Cause I was really thinking of going with a 22' because the cost is so much cheaper and that extra 2' really won't make a difference.

I think a lot of his opinion is based of incorrect configs or something? Im STILL having problems with my system when I'm running all 5 at once on my main rig. I really wish I could figure out what i'm doing wrong.

I can run 5 just fine on a 3.2ghz dual core, 4 gb RAM, geforce 9600
I lagged a bit at 2 GB RAM, but after that small upgrade there are no issues, even in cities

From what I just read in your other thread you seem to be having performance issues only in Shattrah and other HIGHLY populated areas right?
This is normal and not where most of us base our performance... I can live with lag here and there getting to the bank or the portals... it's in combat I care about performance.

Iv tried to 5 box on my rig ( 7950GT, 4GB Ram, E6600 Core2Duo) and didn't have that much of a problem, i ran all WoW in 800x600 with low grapichs and i capped the slaves to 15 fps, was getting about 45fps in SM and about 15-20fps in Orgrimmar, so i guess that rig is well enough to 5-box :P

It's threads like these that get me a little giddy that my computer could 5box with minimal upgrades.
I've got a dual core 2.4Ghz (might actually be 2.6) but only 1gb of RAM and a....6900GS video card? (not sure on that one either) So, with a bit more RAM and possibly a new graphics card, I'm good to go!
Getting my 2nd monitor this weekend...
