Well the topic says it :P

I joined a PvE guild after beeing headhunted.... I started out in SSC with them, just to try it and see how it was to multibox as a raider.
And it went ok... (got 2-5place in DMG done) And i had very few screw-ups.
However, the raid definately needs to be aware of me. In some fights its imperative that they stay out of my way at all cost.
After a short SSC run and some sunwell trash farming i got an offer to join the guild. After a little hesitation i decided to join, and put PvP on the shelf for a while.
This is a relatively new guild, and i joined on their 3rd SSC run. (I was in the raid the first time in MH)

Here are my experiences so far :

-You'll never get a boomkin, no matter how bad you want it. (We raid with one, but 5% crit on 4 other people means more than on me since im near cap)
-People will fight to be in your group.
-It's not as hard as i feared, although it takes a little practice, wich cant be done in raid.

Bosses :
(Click on the names of the bosses for MMO-champions tacs, and loot lists)

Serpentshrine Cavern ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/images/articles/instance/maps/coilfang.jpg')

The Lurker Below ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?page=223')

This fight is easier for you as 4 shaman compared to beeing 1 single player.
I really feared this fight, because jumping up on the islands again can be hard as 1 player, and close to impossible as 4.
So.. The solution : stay in the water the entire fight, and just keep 3 healing stream down. I had a shaman healer watch my HP and if i got low i would recieve a chain heal or two.
I stayed in between two islands, effectively putting me in range for 6mobs. (of a total of 9)
Spout was no worry for me at all, and the only damage spikes i took was from water bolt.

Fathom-lord Karathress ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?page=109')

This fight does not take anymore from you as a multiboxer, compared to beeing solo.
Although, the heals you produce will save the tank on the shaman. I'd start to heal when i saw the frost shock debuff on the tank.

Mount Hyjal ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/images/articles/instance/maps/map_hyjal.jpg')

Rage Winterchill ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?page=286') (Killed first try)

This fight is pretty easy, although you need a little more raid-awerenes than if you were a single player, and having a priest keep an extra eye out for you is good.
The only 2 things to be aware of is death and decay, (wich is bad for healers when it hits 4 players) and frost nova (this is where the priest mass dispells)
A combination of D&D and frost nova = 4 dead players in your case. I chose not to equip PvP trinkets for this fight, i kept an extra eye on my boys and just healed them once to keep them up whenever they got icbeolt.

Anatheron ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?page=286') (Second try)

This guy puts alot of stress on you. I positioned myself between the Infernal tanking spot and Anatheron, and my main job was to kill the infernals.
The reason that this boss is so stressful is the Carrion Swarm, wich make you heal 75% less.
When alot of healers have this debuff(and I dont) i supported with keeping the Infernal tank alive.
Raid awareness is VERY important here, keep an eye on the infernal tank healers, if they both have the debuff or sleep, heal the tank like you have the Grim reaper on you heals ;)
On the last bit of HP go all out on the boss, 4 extra DPS goes a long way.

Kaz'rogal ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?page=287') (Fourth try)

Now Kaz is a real btich.. Ill tell you that right away.
Our guild has about 0 shadow resist atm, since we are one of the extreme few in MH on our server atm. This means that i will go OOM and i will die.
On our first try we got him to 26% and was a decent try, condidering we had 6 dead from the last mob-wave.
On our second try we got him to 4%, the last part tanked by Thrall himself. (I couldnt get into position so alot of DPS time wasted)
On our third try we had a close to flawless try, until we noticed at 45% that Thrall was not engaged in the fight.
Last try, the tank pulled Thrall and then posistioned him up by the tauren warriors. Raid wiped at around 6%, but with Thrall tanking and 1 raid member alive he went down with thrall on 4% hp (Thrall took around 3%hp loss pr swing from the boss) that last % was soooooo long. But he went down ;)

In this fight positioning is the key to your success as a multiboxer, you need you own space with noone near you...
The tactics say that you should move out of the raid when you have less than 2500-3000 and the mark is coming.
That is kinda hard for a multiboxer, so i decided to stay in, and spread my boys 15yards from eachother.
On the second try, the raid was not aware of me and spread to evenly, and before i found a good spot at all, the first mark had hit.
On the third try, i explained to the rest of the raid what i was doing, and they gave me and my 5th party member a spot :)
I kept the spot for the fourth try, and stayed alive for a good long time :) (TY for the +10shadow resist racial)

Black temple ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/images/articles/instance/maps/bt_medres.jpg')

High Warlord Naj'entus ('http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?page=290') (Third try)

This fight is rather straight forward, run to your given position, then spread out to avoid dmg on several characters.
Normal tank and spank fight, but before the shield chain heal yourself to full HP, also chain heal after to save the healers mana.
If one of you alts gets spined, loot it with your main. DO NOT face the boss with your camera, face the alts, so you easilly can loot spines of them.
Get a buddy to loot your main. (5th party member)
Always heroism after the shield, but watch aggro.

Supremus WTFBBQed me.. When an alt had aggro i'd always get a volcano on my main, making the alts take heavy damage.....
Will work on this fight... Will have to do some main change or something, i dont think volcanoes spawn on Supremus' target.. so that would help me keep my boys up.

CURRENTLY 3rd ON THE LIST FOR T6 ;) (and 4th 5th and 6th)

Will try to keep this updated as we progress further. ;)

Az-lol-gore should be fun with shamans getting pwnd by that darn debuff and the fire. Good luck with him, Naj, supremis, and shade should be a cakewalk multiboxing BT. Terron will how ever not be fun, I dual boxed and it was hard, although I was dual boxing healers(healing the raid an mini game, stupid hard).

Love to hear how you do on Leo, I had some trouble trying to dual box that. Then again healers.

Goodluck!

Well i can see why not, it is considered a gimp on many fights.
Behind it all lies alot of practice to control alts seperatly.

I got my lucky chance when i ran into Kawabata, i had spoken with him a couple of times before..
I didnt have a healer online, so we decided to try some 5v5 action. It went "ok". But the Q times were killing us.
So, we decided to go for a HC instead.. And as he watched me melt face and all shammies at >1200DPS he wanted to try me in SSC, just for kicks.
That was 1 week ago, now we have cleared 3/5 MH with a 3week old guild on a dead server.

Cant wait for BT... However i do need more single alt control for Teron, but i do believe its possible

Just curious. What kind of gear does it take for your shammies to run 1200dps?

Yea, I can understand the control factor. I've take my Priest, 2x Mage, 2x Warlock to a guild naxx run. It was a blast really. Just wish I could find a guild who would give me the chance on my shamans. Even if it was just two of them. But then again, what good is two ele shamsn in a raid :P I've been really bored as of late. I quit raiding for multi boxing ( I have a t6 Warlock with 1/2 bt/Hyjal gear and 1/2 Sunwell gear )

Nice going :D

I've done some raiding in SSC myself. Its abselutly doable to do several raidbosses. I think some would be hard though.

I did take Leotheras if you haven tried it yet though.

A little trick I made up on the Inner demons:

Make a macro that deselects everyones target.

Then make another macro that nukes lightningbolts on Leotheras if you dont have a target currently, or just shoots lightining bolts on your targets if you got one.
The deal is that when you deselects all targets, you will automatically get the Inner demon when he attacks your alt. So with this nuke macro, every alt (or main) that got an inner deamon will attack it, if not it will attack leotheras :) The only thing you need to be aware of is the direction they are facing. I often find it usefull just to move backwards to get the Inner Demon on the right side.

Nice tip :) Although we might be skipping alot of SSC only go for T5 bosses in there and in TK.
Progress is going good and wiping in SSC is not to much fun, considering MH/BT loot is so much better ;)
Another thing i noticed is that the focus of the guild is so much better in MH/BT than in SSC/TK, maybe people realize that they are in an end-game instance?

Man, I just finished the grind for the Merc. Glad Spellblade on my shammies - 4 solid days of AV queues and getting rolled in EotS, all for 20 EotS marks and 25,200 honor. How long did it take for you to finish the PvP grind? I'm thinking about just getting the next 15k honor for the shield and calling it quits.

Actually dont know how long it took me ;)
Just did the daily every day... And then going for marks in the BG i needed them in ;)

After a whipefest in SSC today, we decided to just kill Rage Winterchill again and call it quits.
Will raid again on Friday ;)

Leo was not so hard while boxing, i just added /target inner demon after my /assist bit.
However, the rest of the raid noobed all over the place, DPSers that couldnt kill their inner demon, and people standing next to the lock tank.
On the only real try we had, we wiped at 26%, adn went to MH instead.

LoL, on lurker below, as a shadowpriest (not multiboxing) I always just stay in the water the whole time and let VE keep me healed XD

Yeah, as SP that encounter is easy too ;)
Some of my philosophy is to never be a strain on the raid..
I would much rather be an asset to the raid, taking tasks that noone else wants or can do.
In MH for example, the frost wyrms are my responsibility (with my 5th party member) i dont need an extra healer and the wyrm is dead before the gargoyles anyhow.
On other trashpacks i kill necromancers with the melee, i tend to tank them with my grounding totems so a healer is not needed there either.
My group is self-sufficient in HCs, and i tend to be so on raids too, for example on Naj'entus in BT, i always get my boys full on HP on my own because i know it is a healer heavy fight.
And that fight is won by healers, not the DPS.
If every raid group had the same teamwork and coordination and group synergy that a FOCUSED multiboxer has, progress would be easy ;)

As the same on lurker, the fight would be hard on a healer if he had to heal 8000 extra on my guys every 10seconds...
