As my first group of RAF'ed characters approach 60 I've decided to quick level another team.

I have two hunters already so was thinking of quickly levelling 2 hunters and a mage (the mage just because I want one, and I figure his food and water gifts will help the hunters out whilst levelling - Can pets that eat anything eat conjured food?)

With the gifted levels I will be able to level my druid and priest to join the team.

I'm looking for a good combination for pvp - mainly BG's.

4 hunters will be great (probably all beast mastery, although I might spec one Marksmanship for trueshot aura) but I'm trying to figure out what the best class to combine them with would be.

1. Mage - Disadvantages squishy and no healing. Advantages - Nice extra damage aoe'ing if melee get within range whilst my hunters wing clip raptor strike. Nice slowing of enemy to allow the hunters to dps from range longer and an extra cc to lock muliple enemy in place to allow hunters to get range.

2. Druid - Spec resto? Disadvantages are no reliable Res. Quite squishy? Don't know too much about the druid am i missing something here? Advantages: Heals, buffs, Entangling roots might be useful for locking a single target down.

3. Shaman - Advantages - heals, totem buffs. Multi target heals. Not too squishy. Lacks CC.

4. Priest. Advantages - Great heals. Disadvantages Squishy.

So I'm leaning towards the shaman but wondering if anyone with actual 4 hunter + 1 other class experience could wade in here.

Another hunter...

I've tried different combos in PVP and tbh there are just WAY too many abilities to use and so little button space. I've tried running around BG's with a priest and 4 shamans, but i died faster than i would have just using 4 shamans.

If you absolutely need to have a 5th that is not a hunter i'd consider a shaman solely for tremor totem.

mage seems to be a logical option.

a retri pala with kings would be nice...if they were ranged... :)

I just started leveling 4 hunters and a shaman.
Shaman for healing instead of a priest because my first team was 1 paladin and 4 shamans, although i dont play paladin that often now reaching 70. Since im mostly doing pvp and not pve.
So a 5th shaman would be more fun for BGs and heroics, since i cant do heroics now either, unless i spec one to resto.
So i let the shammy do the healing (my main), and let pets tank and hunters dps.
I thought i'd make them all BM but the trueshot aura is a pretty good idea too.
I will see what i do, i can also make 2 BM and tame turtles for the tanking, and spec 2 MM for more dps, and probably get cats for more dps input.

#showtooltip Auto Shot
/cast [target=focustarget,harm,nodead]!Auto Shot

Use that for autoshot macro. Saves you some trouble finding what the macro is :)
I had trouble finding it myself, i was doing /autoshot /auto shot /shoot /cast autoshot, but none of them works so then i find thatone and it works great :)

The druid relies on beeing mobil while the priest have SOOO manny tools to counter damage but i would say that its hard to play it to its fullest while controlling 4 hunters.

Shamans are great:

Tremor totem and agility+strength totem (they will merge in WOTLK)

Shamans get Hex in WOTLK wich kinda is like sheep just that:

-The target is able to move??? (read it somewere)
-45 sec Cooldown
-Its a curse and can be decursed but not dispelled (Resto shamans gets decurse in WOTLK aswell)

The shamans chain heal is nice when all your hunters are hugged up and spirit link seems well enough for a 41 talent in WOTLK.
