req: Hotstring & Keymapping help

I've been using keyclone for about a month now, but have never used any of the 'advanced' features. I have found very little support with regards to keymaps and hotstrings. From what I can gather they are pretty powerful tools and would like to start using them asap.

Would appreciate it if someone could point me to some tutorials

/edit cause I fixed my problem :o

I was using a text editor to write the keymaps rather than using the obvious "key map editor"
