Hi to everyone, especially you who have been a great inspiration.

Thought about doing this for ages, been mmo'in since 1999's Asherons Call. Never have got going until now. I've been playing wow since retail, and have done all bosses with the exception of a few in Naxxramas and Ouro of Ahn'Qiraj. We have beat Illidan, and right now we raid about 2 nights pr week, eagerly awaiting The Sunwell. Also looking forward to ZA next patch, even though it will probably be just a brief thrill.

I've dualboxed shadowpriests, and although it was entertaining for a while, ultimately it was just like playing one character. I got bored after level 50 (and I also realized that 2x Vampiric Touch wasn't THAT great). Now I have a new team in the making. Paladin tank, 3 mages and a shaman healer. All dranei. This team is solely for PVE. I'm running it across a stationary(1 client) and two laptops(2 clients each), using Multiplicity Pro and Keyclone (Hi Keyclone, great stuff! Btw make it so I can launch all clients from keyclone, and position windows correctly, and I'll KISS ya =).

My goal is to be lvl 70 before Wrath of the Lich King, and well established with decent gear. This should be easily doable for me, even with fulltime work and raiding with my guild. At the moment I've had just a few hours to play due to much work lately, so I've only reached level 7. I am however very well organized, and I've been thinking about setup and macros for many weeks, so I anticipate that I have a solution ready for probably all problems I might encounter. I've been thinking about heroic instances alot, and I don't know how well multiboxers are doing there, but I'm feeling quite comfortable, having done all of them to death with different characters.

Heroic instances was also the reason I made some changes to the team. At first I decided to go with 4 paladins and 1 shaman for wicked consecration aoe, but cleaving mobs in heroics would probably slow me down alot, so I decided to go with mages, who are also better for dealing with bosses. At this time I plan on going frost with all the mages for superior control. This way judging justice should not be necessary, and I can focus on judging wisdom to stay topped with mana.

Although chain heal shouldn't be needed much, I still went with shammy healer because of tremor totem, and since I rolled Dranei with all characters, I don't need more hots than gift of the naaru gives me. Poison cleansing totem also is superior to manual cleansing, so I will only need to deal with diseases with the tank and curses with one of the mages. I anticipate that after starting on TBC content, and getting better gear for the mages, I may have to consider respeccing arcane, due to the reduced threat of the arcane tree, will have to reconsider.

Anyway, wish me luck. I'll stick around and provide updates if anyone are interested.

Edit: Oh, and if anyone have suggestions or pointers, or know about potential problems/solutions to problems I might encounter, please alert me. Also, I can reroll any class and powerlevel them up to the rest of the group if I'd want to swap in a lock or something. My main is warlock, and although it has kickass gear, I will not include it into the 5box team because it will be hell for the tank to keep up with the threat generated =)

My main is also a Warlock and the idea of a Priest and Four Warlocks was so tempting but I would feel so undergeared next to Latency. :(

Sounds like your organized, one of the things you need to know about 5 boxing is that LITTLE things are what kill it for you and it does take alot more concentration to play.

Make sure you have all your mods worked out and setup, things to make your life easier like mods/keys to auto-join group/auto-accept quests etc etc.

Levelling WILL be slower than normal because you cant feasible do collection quests. Most quests are collect 8-15 of something and do that x5 bores you to tears.

Good luck with it and keep us updated. =)

Btw make it so I can launch all clients from keyclone, and position windows correctly, and I'll KISS ya =)

look at commands and maximizer.
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?p=10052#10052

starting with v1.7f, you can launch wow on all remote keyclones from a single keyclone by right-clicking on the connected keyclones and selecting 'Run...'. type the command (which would be in the command table on the remote keyclone) and when the remote keyclone receives the string, it will look it up in the command table and run the associated program. you can also run multiple commands at once by separating them with a semicolon( wow;wow;wow)

and if you enable maximizer and set up your maximizer regions, then the programs launched by your command will pop into the next available region.

as for the kiss... only hot babes need to apply... ;)
