Has there been any evidence of the game going back to how it used to be pre-bc as far as pvp/pve gear? Although I like the idea of gear being obtained through pvp (without sacrificing your entire life/marriage/job for rank 14), and resilience, they've created two separate games at this point. Excepting a few random rings and trinkets, pve/raiding gear has little or no viability in pvp, and pvp gear is so gimped in damage stats that it's even worse in raids than it was pre-bc.
These days if you wanna pvp, you're sitting in AV for the next several hundred hours, then putting in your 10 games week after week. You could pve, but then you wouldn't have anything you could use in pvp.
I'm glad it's not how it used to be, where you really had to raid to be geared for pvp, but surely there is some compromise in between. I'd love it if wotlk gave me a good reason to do both.
