Hey guys i accidently stumbled across this web site while messing around on the net, and as a wow player its got me very interested to what u guys do with multi-boxing.
I was thinking about running 2 accounts on 1 pc with 2 monitors, can anyone tell me the problems i might have, or would a second pc be a more viable option?.
Also some tips on what setup to use/try for 2 accounts, any help from anyone who has had any experience would be awsome as this multi boxing has really sparked my interest.
:D

I'm pretty much a noob compared to most of these people, but I'll put in my 2 cents.
I had 3 lvl60's when BC came out, and leveled up my priest to 70. I then started dual boxing, and have had a total BLAST leveling my warrior up while having a healer following right behind. The priest can stay out of group (so that the warrior gets full xp) and can heal the warrior, and even do a good chunk of the damage (I usually mind flay with the priest once or twice after the mob is lower than 80% and the warrior still gets full xp).
Even if your computer is uber good, it's logistically easier to have a 2nd computer in my opinion, even if its not that good. My 2nd PC is a pentium 4 2.6ghz (upgraded the chip from a 1.8 when I started dual boxing) with 1gb ram and a not-so-great vid card. Basically, with 2 computers, all you need is to buy 2 wireless keyboards (same model) and synch both computers to 1 keyboard. Then, set the main characters movement to ASDF keys, and the secondary characters movement to the keypad keys... but for most of the time, the secondary character will be using an auto-follow macro to move.
If you're starting from scratch, I highly reccomend having 1 melee class fighter (warrior, rogue, maybe pally) and 1 healing class (priest, pally, druid, shammy?) That way you can heal yourself. I'd have the melee class's abilities on the regular keys, and the healers abilities (even the attacks) on the keys around the keypad (like / * - + . keys)
When you use the 2 wireless keyboards, you need to realize that all keys are mirrored on both machines... so you need to unmap alot of things in the keybindings. You can't have autorun be the same key for both characters or it will break the auto-follow, and you cant have the movement keys in the same spot because they'll be hard to control.
Sorry this was long winded :)
