Man its great to see how active things are here.
I mean when I got here, there was about 2000people registered to the site now there is over 12,000 members.
Awhile back, there would be about 3 pages of new posts in about a day for me, now there is 7.
This is great stuff. I am glad to see how the site has grown and all the helping that hs been going around.
Keep it up everyone.

Haha, yeah, I just registered but I love the discussion around here and the general knowledge of the community at large. This is way better than WoW forums!
I've learned more about the game in a week here than I have learned in a long time.

I attribute the success to our moderators and flaming lazy posts. We don't have to be PC like Blizzard. These are the best forms I browse.

It's not just here. I'm seeing all sorts of people multiboxing new groups on Mag lately. Seems like the RAF stuff was exactly the incentive people needed to start.

Seems like the RAF stuff was exactly the incentive people needed to start.I always wanted to do it, but learning how to make it work gave me a headache akin to having to study for school. The RAF thing basically was the push I needed to sit down and read about how it all works. Not nearly as tough as I guessed it would be.

Back in my day, boy, there were only 30 people here and we dual-boxed with four hands, uphills both ways, on a 4" monocrome monitor, and we were happy to get 5fps on a good day!
Hehe, it definitely is nice to see how much the dual-boxing community has grown more than anything else :).

Yeah, I would definitely attribute the dual/multi-boxing growth as of late to the RAF. RAF in theory is a good way to get a friend to play wow, but minus the friend it's the best way to get started playing with yourself -- wait that sounded wrong. You know what I mean.
and yes, this is my fav. wow forum.

I started boosting my team in SM and when I popped out of the instance with my 70 paly and 4 warlocks to reset I saw another 70 paladin with a couple priests that were clearly boxing. I've seen two or three other teams in the past few days. When I walked back into Cathedral in perfect sync I got tells form the other team asking how i did it. He wasn't aware of the site and was boxing the OLD fashion way of using a keyboard and mouse for each computer. I hooked him into the site and after a while he was setup with whatever software package he picked and was so glad he ran into me. I actually appologized stating that I was sorry for the addiction that he was about to get into. 8)

The site has definitely grown quite a bit I agree, a lot larger than I ever imagined :) It's so big trying to make backups / uploads has to be done via command line or in chunks! haha

Not saying I do not believe you. But it is a great observation and a well put point.

After messing around a little with the 'two wireless keyboard interfaces, one keyboard' system for my two accounts the RAF promotion made me seriously check out multi-boxing. The RAF and Keyclone are why I'm still here (and working on leveling my team). Together RAF and Keyclone really lower the degree of difficulty of getting into multi-boxing.

If you're new and have no 60+ toons to bankroll you, it hurts because you outlevel your gear and training fees so damn fast. :)

While it's great to try out MB with a trial account and the RAF the trial account toon is severely hamstrung by not being able to receive gold from an older toon for training fees!

I've been lurking for a while.
I must say the search feature works GREAT here, unlike other forums.
So there was really no need to register. But I finally have.
I've been trying to dual box for a while, just to do dailies and stuff. But now with the recruit a friend deal, I'm kicking it in to high gear for WOTLK.
You guys are great, keep it up.
