Two months old and now giving away 7 day trials? Ouch.

Great gfx's and the bugs never realy bothered me, but the thing that bothered me was that AOC never managed to be fun at all.

Is this game really experiencing tremendous success? I've heard like 30 opinions on this game and all 30 of them didn't like it at all after a certain point. Like level 40 or something.

This is what i heard too that after lvl 40 the game has nothing at all. Plus i heard that their hunter class was way to over powered from lvl 1-40.

I played a couple characters into their mid twenties. The game is pretty that is for sure, but I didn't find any fun in it myself. It was just lacking something "fun".

The game was awesome from 1-20. That's where all the good reviews came from. Once you leave Tortage the voice acting stops, the Destiny Quest chain takes a break, and you get to grind buggy quests and unfinished zones. I got a HoX to 77 and a PoM to 40 in two months as I waited patiently for them to fix bugs, add content, maybe make official posts on the forums more than once a week... but none of that ever happened before renewal time came up again so I quit.
Best part was when I found out that female melee characters did 20% less damage than a male character due to a "bug" that they couldn't even fix in the 2 months I was there (female weapon swings are 1.46s, males are 1.2s.)
It was worth my $50+$15, as I'm sure I easily got over 100h of gameplay out of it, but there's no way I would ever go back.

I'm not going back to AoC even if they'd pay ME.

1-20 was nice; after that it's just a pretty grindfest with bugs and a clunky quest system inferior to wow's; it's nice to try but not a game you'd wanna stay in for long.

I tried AoC at realease with a bunch of my WoW guild mates. It was fun for everyone for the first few days; however, after the first couple of levels it really starts to drone on. Many of us were running on older computers and had terrible performance. Furthermore, once the fatality novelty wore off, I found the combat to be lacking something. The combat system is what attracted me in the first place and I found that I actually prefered the WoW system. Everyone that I know that switched to AoC has come back to WoW.

I found the starting area (Tortage) to be fairly interesting with the voiced NPCs and the more story-heavy single player modes.
But once out of the starting area AoC just became like any other MMO, and the bugs and unfinished content become quite glaring.
