(YARAF post) So I canceled three of my accounts...

Yet Another Recruit-A-Friend post, sorry. I just canceled my 3 RAF accounts, which were activated three weeks before this new RAF was implemented... Now, reordering 3 new accounts.

So just to clarify:
1. Grouping with my 70 will kill any XP bonus.
2. I should create 3 new 10-day trial accounts under RAF, then activate them to full accounts by paying to making them full subscription accounts with gamecards.
3. I can link 2 new accounts to 1 existing account and the remaining new account to another existing account.
4. Once linked, as long as the new account groups with the old account, they both receive triple XP for any characters that are the same level.
5. New characters can gift free levels to any character on the old account, just as long as the giftee is of lower level than the gifter.
6. So, if I have 2 level 60's on a new account, I can potentially gift a character on an old account up to level 59.
7. Any characters which hit 60 stop receiving the XP bonus, but I can create new characters and will receive the bonus until the 90 days link time is over.

Sounds right to me :) And hmm... I really am tempted to do what you're doing. My highest 3box team is 14 and with RAF it would go so much faster! And I don't have to get the battlechests right away... I like you're thinking! Bc it's so totally unfair for the people that just barely missed RAF to have to lvl without the extra xp bonus! Darn it all anyways, now I gotta save up some more money for that lmao

#1: If he's from one of the veteran accounts, yes. If he's from another, non-related (to the RAF) account, and grouped with RAF-linked accounts, they will still get the 3x bonus. This is a bug that is planned to be fixed, no intended.

#2: Yes, if you immediately want mounts. If you don't care, you can upgrade online or with battlechests, etc. You just won't get your mounts for a few months.

#3: Correct, just remember you always have to play both veteran accounts to get everybody 3x.

I plan on doing Old refers two New accounts and suing those 58 free levels to a new toon, but level that new toon to lvl2 first and he'll get to 60. However, one toon would need to be 61 to do that...does that work?

Hello there, I recently started a quad-boxing team consisting of shamans (my first team,so started out with some easy classes). I used the RAF service and in 2 days I got my characters to level 19 (5 hours / played total time) by some guy that was boosting me 2 times in RFC and 4 times in SFK (I did level till 8 all by myself and did all the totem quests). If you do save up some money i'd garantee you'd level very very fast :D

To the OP:

1. Yup,doesn't work woth 70's, only works if both of the characters get exp from the mob or quest. They don't have to be the exact same level.

2. I have no expereience with the usage of gamecards,so can't give you an answer on that one :)

5.Exact, I had no free character slots on my veteran account so I am now speedleveling my bank alt (same level as my multi-boxing team). Played from 1-2: 19 hours, 2-19: 30 seconds =D

6.The Grant a Level thing is removed once you hit 60,so like some other guys said, use it at 59 or else u lose them.

7.Correct, but you will still have your rested exp bonus on your level 60's, when you're playing at triple exp bonus,your characters do not use the rested they have accumulated, thus you can get to 62 at double speed,from then on it's all back like in the old days, or just keep 'em in the in and start over with some new team? ?(

One more thing, I upgraded 2 out of my 3 accounts I bought now,and payed a 3 months subscription through the creditcard system and it seems you only get to receive your free months of playtime and your zhevra mount till your actual 10-day trial is over.And thanks to Wow-europe I'm now stuck with 3 level 19 shaman's waiting for the 4th account to be upgraded, because after i upgraded 2 of the accounts the site blew up and is unavailable,as wel as the service to upgrade your account (QQ). Been stuck on 19 for 2 days now. Hope to get on soon! :D

i'm not having any luck with the grant a lvl thing.

i have 5 toons, one being the veteran account that sent the RAF to my other 4 toons



we are about all 1 or 2 lvls similar but the grant a lvl is greyed out. my pally who is the veteran account lvl 20 simply can not grant a lvl to anyone. how does it work??

as for the triple XP, that i'm not seeing, i've been doing this for 8 days now and i just hit lvl 20, i can clearly see i'm nto getting 3x XP

all 4 accounts have been upgraded to full versions also.

how do i link accounts? i thought this was automatic once i used my veteran account to send the RAF??

If you haven't used your gifted levels by then you lose them.

Some of the language wasn't clear to me either regarding gifting levels until i tried it out for myself.. currently sitting at 1 priest and 3 locks (1 day 2 hours playing time at lvl 47 by questing, and some instance runs). So I wanted to test out the gifting to my main account (my goal was to get a 60 of each class on my main account, so i can switch easily at wotlk if i decided i wanted to solo a different class) And here are the results:

To grant a lvl, the target has to be 1 level lower to be eligible... this means that even though im 47, and the target is 46, it will gift the target to 47, so at lvl 59, if you use it then, you can gift them to 59, but not higher.

So if you wanted to gift 4 lvls to a hunter from 55-59, your gifter can be 59, and it will work.

So if the gifter is 38, he can gift someone up to 38. To be eligible for the gift a lvl, you must be 1 level lower.

I dunno if this cleared anything up for anyone, but hopefully it helped in some way

If you want to gift levels to someone, they need to be standing close to you. Summon them to you, and start gifting.

Also, I tried out having my two shamans lvl 15 gift lvls to a new hunter and they were able to gift up to their level.

Why not just gift the levels now, level them to 60 and see if you have another level to gift?...If you do then great, if you don't then you haven't lost anything. I don't get the whole storing up levels thing really unless the character you want to gift to is over the gifters level, other than that why aren't people just gifting as they get the levels?

I'm sure I read somewhere (on wow.europe) that a character can only be gifted 30 levels, so you wouldn't be able to go 1-60 from two higher level toons.

I've gifted a paladin to 45 from my two RAF'ed shaman so the 30 level limit doesn't apply. Perhaps they meant that if you have levelled a new char all the way to 60 it will only have 30 levels to gift.

I got my three extra accounts a week or so before the RAF thing. If I were not already 52 on my 4 shaman, I would probably bail out and start over.

unfortunately i still can not grant a lvl to my toons.

my pally is lvl 20, and i have an RAF warlock who is lvl 16, we are grouped all standing beside each other. the pally is party leader and i click on locks portrait, but the grant a lvl is greyed out

I remember specifically reading on official FAQ page that once you hit 60 you lose your ability to grant levels . If I were getting close I would definitely do at 59 to be safe.

Oh and ninja your grant a level won't work because your RAF account is your Warlock who is lower level. Your warlock must be a higher level then your paladin then you can grant your paladin levels. Remember only RAF accounts can grant levels to original account.
