I jumped into my first BG last night as a multiboxer.
Seeing as there's no way I can manage as good of a pally tanking weapon as the Merc. Glad. Gavel without high-end raiding, I've started the grind.. and I honestly surprised myself how fun it was for a couple rounds. :)
For starters, I need 20 EotS marks, so I'm working on that now. First two rounds ended in alliance losses, but I quickly learned to drop 4x tremor totems any time I'm about to enter combat or all hell breaks loose. My third and final round of the night ended up in complete domination of my alliance team over horde. The 4x ToW, Chain Lightning, Frost Shock combo can be devastating.. I can't imagine if I respec'd to NS instead of ToW. It was a lot more fun than I expected, although I can see where EotS hurts as a 5-boxer - 1/3 of the team is always in one location. That last round was a blast though - most of my team gathered around me and I layed destruction with LB's, CL's, and FS's flashing left and right. Only around 1500 honor and 5 marks in ~45 minutes, so this will take a couple days.. but it's not as bad as I thought it would be, and it's definitely more fun than single-boxing it. I still feel like it's a cheap way to "earn" epics though, but Bliz likes to practically force us all to PvP.

I grinded my first 50k honor as ToW. I really didn't think that ns would make such a difference with low end gear that my shamans had at the time. Hell, I even did my first 2 weeks worth of arenas with ToW. I just lost a bunch and won maybe 1 or 2 a week.
However after respeccing to NS... I soared in rating from 1450 to 1600 over night. and with every piece of gear I got I went up about 30 rating.
Ns makes a huge difference.
I am currently trying out different healers and bouncing from 1640-1700. Its a little bit rough but i cant wait to find that perfect healer that I can play with :P

I am unbelievably jealous of you, silencer. I've been trying AV, AB, and EotS, and won 2 of 25 matches so far. I'm HATING PVP. Loathe it. I now know that any night I decide to do a BG, I can fully expect to end up unbelievably angry, hostile, hateful, and know that I'll ruin the rest of the evening afterward.
I'm glad you're starting out with a good experience in it, just jealous that you'll be able to get all that nice gear...

Don't get too jealous, I'll probably be stopping as soon as I get ~25k honor for the Merc. Glad. Gavel on my pally, and whatever honor is on the shammies for an upgrade.. probably the caster dagger. PvP in this game still feels like repeatedly stapling my nuts to my thigh, it's just not as painful as I thought it would be. That still doesn't make it pleasant. :)
Trust me, after those first two rounds I was a bit demoralized.. we got rolled so bad.. maybe that 3rd round was just a lucky stroke of experienced Alliance PvP'ers and a bunch of new 70's on the Horde side.

LOL'd at work, thanks bro. I'm actually looking forward to PvP. I know that it will suck at first, mistakes will be made, but I hope I can turn the mistakes into positives. Plus I'm gonna have my kids PvP with me so it wont be so bad.

It's been about 50% for me, but some days are better than others. Tonight its like 90% loss, and it seems like everyone got the memo about the new multiboxer on reckoning. I'm being sheeped, mind controlled, fear bombed to the point where wotf is always on cooldown, nasty fire mages teaming up with other nasty fire mages and wiping my whole group, 5-6 druids in every game bombing heals on anything i try to kill.
Hate druids. and alliance has a million of them. They can literally just HoT right through all 13 of my dots. If I don't nuke, their health doesn't even move. I have to spam dispell to get the HoTs off, and silence their heals, then maybe i can kill one. Hopefully when my spell damage doubles it won't be such a problem....
Then there are the haters. Every game we lose, it's the quad boxers fault. Every game we win, it's because "glad we were able to carry that noob quad boxer"
Of course every once in awhile someone is like, omg we got this in the bag, we got a quad boxer! And those are the games we always get rolled, so I'm sure that forever changes their opinion.

did my first boxed avs last night and tonight, 3 last night, won all 3, fairly average, getting pwned pretty hard, but tonight when all my girls hit 62 o was dropping horde left and right, even the warriors charging fearing (which was negated by 4 tremors all ticking at different times) and whirlwind, i would usually only lose maybe 1, rogues were jumping me using snd and blade flurry if they had it, but i just focus healed till clos wore off and nuked them, im surprised how well i did considering 1 70 and 4 62s.
looking forward to the true honor grind at 69.

For this reason, I'm only running 2 in the non-AV bg's. Until I'm better macroed and better geared, I'm not going to take up 4 slots out of 10 or 15. If I get a dedicated healer to my group I might change my mind.

looking forward to the true honor grind at 69.IMO, you're better off hitting 70 and getting your pvp blues from the various rep vendors, it will give you a jump start on resilience and they have decent stats. People will give you BS in BG's whether you're 69 or 70 because they follow you around and don't fight but then think it's your fault. Before the pvp blues were out I'd probably have gotten my marks at 69 though. The BG queue times were also pretty terrible at 69 when I tried them in Shadowburn battlegroup. At 70 you can also do dailies and rake in the gold for mounts, etc.

at 70 you can also do arena. If you just lose all your matches every week and buy a new one every week you will be able to get a S3 ever 4 or 5 weeks. Which will take longer, but are better. But the best part is the dailies that you can do that will help your gold income. I will probably try to at least get my mace before i get to 70 (do 20 eye and av) but if the que times take too long then i will just ding 70.

NS makes a big difference when its 5v5 and it allows you to kill one, thus making it 5v4. But in BGs where its a constant trickle of enemies, killing one really quick will rarely make a difference over time, especially compared to having 15% more crit.
