just add it. you won't lose your 10 day trial if thats what your on already.

when you upgrade from the trial account it starts your 30 days at the end of your trial time.

Just a lesson I learned the Hard way, don't upgrade digitally got to store and buy the game and imput the key, if you do it digitaly it takes up to 72hrs to remove all the trial restrictions on the account, if you input the key from a store bought version they come off instantly. Just FYI

So i need to buy 2x copies of WOW (Original) and 2 copies of BC correct?

Or just get 2 battle packs?

At some point i had seen that getting the separate copies (not the battle chest) is the best since each one gives 1 free month of game time.

If you do decided you want to activate online (like I did) the trial account removal takes a few hours if it's done during the week. I activated mine the day RAF came out and had the restriction removal email in about 4 hours. I may have been lucky, but it worked out for me.

Is that true? Buy them seperate and get an extra month free (one per box)? If so, it would offset the saving you make from getting a battlechest.

You don't get a free month when you buy/enable BC. I didn't on any of the 6 accounts I've upgraded to BC.

I just went and bought 3 fresh Battle Chests, used one of my old accounts to refer, then each new one referred the next one. Each time activating the RAF trial, then immediately upgrading to a retail WoW key, then Upgrading each to BC. This gives me the 10 day trial on each + free month on each + RAF bonus on all but the last one :_D

During the account upgrade I was warned that the accounts may still have the "trial" restrictions for up to 72 hours, but I haven't noticed if it did. /shrug

Once I upgraded to BC I never had a restriction on my accounts even minutes after they were created. If you're going to pay $50 to upgrade an account to BC status, they damn well better be removing that 72-hour thing, and they seem to.

Battle-Chest is 40 dollars I think? While online you have to upgrade both seperately, which adds up.

Took me 48 hours almost exactly. >.<

It may have been the weekend, though. I can't recall.

When I made a 2nd trial account I ordered the battlechest from Amazon. I normally use ShatteredCrystal (I'm lazy) but they were sold out.

If you do upgrade your account online, a GM told you might be able to hasten the process of removing the trial restrictions by changing your password. I had waited a day. Once I changed my password, it was about an hour before the trial restrictions were removed. Changing your password apparently forces the big Blizz machine to update your account somehow where otherwise it may take up to 3 days for it to cycle through if left alone. BTW, this is just theory, don't know for sure. No guarantees. YMMV.

Spending the time to drive around may not be worth it. Call ahead before you leave the house.

It can take up to 72hrs, I did my digital upgrade on a friday and it took until sunday afternoon to come off. And i have had friends come off in 4 - 8 hrs. So who knows. And where do you get that $50 number from. Just BC is only 29.99 and the battle chest is $39.99 and Best Buy likes to put the Battle chest on sale for 29.99
