OMG only lvl 64 :(

lvl 1-40 was easy. 41-60 was ok. 61-70 omg such a pain in the @$$. I read a couple posts about saying that lvl 65 is a drag, i'm only 64 and i think that is already a total drag so i hate to see what 65 is like. I'm only like 1/6 in too only have 3 hellfire quests left to do (the 2 elite rock ones and the elite guy for that nice trinket. Going to do those today though). I grinned 63 to 64 in sp and ub (if anyone is reading this i found that ub, even though a higher lvl instance, easier then sp. Reason is that i couldn't get passed the first boss in sp [could have been my lvl] and there are only a couple mobs before the boss. the naga fear and mind control quick sucked. In ub there was non of that and all pulls where easy 3 mob pulls. I usually clear every mob before the first boss and then reset [takes about 20 minutes and only get .75 of a bar]. Reason why i don't do the boss is that i cannot kill him, mostly cause of the movement issues to avoid the mushrooms. I would move when a mushroom appears, the boss will continue to attack me but my sham are not facing the correct way to fire, when i do get them in the correct way another shroom comes up and have to move. I could easily kill this boss if someone else was controlling the tank). Got my rep to honored then left the grind and started questing in the second zone. Finished the first half of the quests in zang, cause they where kill quests (skipped the 3 collection quests), and went off to the second part. When questing i only got 1/6 of a lvl. So now i am getting really bored so what i am planning to do is do the 3 hellfire quest, which should put me to 1/4 lvl. Then head to Nagrand and do all the quests there. That should hopefully put me to lvl 65, maybe 65.5 (think i can do the arena quest chain at 64?). Then do MT and Seth for honor rep then continue questing again. I see a lot of post in zang about looking for 3 dps for ub or sp. I could join there group and easily clear this but then 2 of my guys will be off sync (i wouldn't care about the pally too much, but the 4 sham all lvl at the same time, if not only 1 or 2 mobs after each other).

What does everyone else think?

What my goal is to get my guys to at least 66 by the 22 so all my toons can get the gold medal. Right now at 64 i do not think that i would be too good at bg and that 66 might be a little better lvl to start doing some battle grounds, maybe not av but that weekend is the eye battle ground. I really don't want to do battle grounds cause the first couple we might lose cause of me because i don't know how to pvp too well with my guys yet (all i really know is drop 4 tremor totems). I probably won't bring the pally with me cause that would take another spot on the team and the pally really wouldn't be doing anything.

the first boss in SP drops totems down that pretty much prevent him from taking anymore damage.
check out toned's video guide to heroics, he has a great macro for your shaman to target his totems and earth shock them away.
Once you do that he goes down easy.

For the mushroom boss have you tried binding ctrl-w to move your slave forward and ctrl-s to move them backwards?

I been dooing ench for the 30 last levels and im realy getting good on moving them around.

Just run after the boss, stop and move your adds 10 yards back then continue tanking and dpsing/healing.

No doubt about it.. it's a level grind. 60-64 took a long time, but 65-70 took longer. I still feel the best way to level is quests - there are more than enough quests in the game, so you can skip most collection quests (make sure to do the ones that lead to a good reward in a chain though).
If I were you, I'd not focus much time on instances, especially those around your level. As a priority, work on all quests that improve your gear, especially if you have a tank.

Running five toons, I did every quest in HFP, Zangarmarsh, and Terrokar and still barely hit 65 when I walked into Nagrand. I then did every quest in Nagrand including returning Thrall to Outlands and then cherry picked the easy quests in BEM. I hit 67 in BEM and immediately went to Netherstorm--Did all the quests there and I had to do two quests in SMV in order to ding 70.

It's totally doable questing even with five toons. I found that quests are much faster than instance grinding, but ymmv.

I grinded ogres in Nagrand I think from 64-65 for the talbuk mount. (<3 talbuks)

Past that I instance grinded to 70. I just didn't like the quests past Nagrand.

Why is outlands that hard/bad to level in?

Personally i always cried myself trought 50-58 then jumped with joy once i hit outlands! Boosted my paladin from 58-60 in 3 hours with a 70 friend warrior helping out! i guess i could have done it pretty fast with good gear!

My first goal once i hit 60 will be to get the trinket with spell damage and critt since he should be doable with 5 ele shamans!

The reason 58-60 was quick is because of the xp was reduced a couple patches ago. After 60 it is the full xp, it is not reduced, so it takes a long time.

Got my guys almost to 65 yesterday (only 2 bars away). Finished the rest of the non pick-up quests in zang (i tried to do the pickup quests, to just grind some bars, but it was so boring and the drop rate sucked so i dropped them). Did the first half of the forest, skipped a long chain because it was a collection quest with a really bad drop rate. So probably going to finish the forest tonight, which should hopefully put me to 65.25 or hopefully to 65.5. Then off to nagrand, which should hopefully put me to 67 (if i remember correctly the arena quest line gives about 1/2 a lvl once complete, do you think it can be done at lvl 65?). I might grind the talbuks too, but also might just grind for honor rep so i can get my heroic keys/pvp armor. Have hellfire and zangs keys so all i need now is lower and keepers. I'll probably just quest with them today, and take a 1 or 2 day break from them and work on my other team (they probably have full rest xp now).
