Hi all,

im currently dual boxing and i have come to the decision i want to do 3 instead of 2.

I was to do this using 1 pc which in my opinion should be easily within the realms of handling it, except i have ssceptical on the amount of ram.

My system spec:

Thermal Take big water cool 760i cooling south bridge for oc

cpu cooler, thermal take V1

Intel Quadcore Q6600 oc 3ghz+

2x Ws raptor 10k 4.6ms hdd's

Maximum exstream motherboard.

Patriot extream DD3, 1866mhz 2gb pvs32g1866llk

cool master realpower M850watt heavy load.

Ati 3870x2 1GB dual head running 24" 1080p screen and a 17" (organising screen zones later

So the question is am i able to run my main copy on 1 hdd and the other 2 copies on the second hard drive (total 3 wows on 1 local machine) and setting the affinity cores to the 3 wows to improve performance (? not tested yet but hay im asking :)

and before you ask why dont i try it? i have order extra hardware which is arriving this week such as additional hdd etc, (needed extra bits anyway but like to know if it will handle it)

will work or ? :P

hardware looks good over all, if you want to go above 3 at one, you may want to drop in 2 more GB ram, and look at the 64bit os.

I'm running 3. I had 2GB RAM and had a bit of fps lag. Lots of page swapping. When I added the extra 2GB (4GB total), it ran very smooth. Invest in getting 4GB of RAM. $100 these days?

excellent news, i see if i can invest into another 2 sticks of patriot only problem is i have to match the current set which is very exspensive

I see what i can fish up.

Thanks for info.

My slave machine on which I run 4 instances is a E2180 CPU @ 2.8GHz w/ 2GB of RAM and a 256MB GeForce 6600LE (this is a particularly slow 6600 as it has no fan) coupled to a 22" wide display. Turn all settings down to low, make sure FSAA is disabled. Runs 20FPS min except in busy areas. Not ideal but certainly usable.

I run 3 wows on the following system with no lag and higher settings:

Amd dual core 3200

2gb ram ddr2 800mhz

Nvidia 8600 GTX 312mb

windows xp SP2

Youll be fine man, people telling you that you need to upgrade in this thread are wrong
