Account 1...70 mage

Account 2...new level 1 toon Account 2 friends Account 3

Account 4...new level 1 toon Account 4 friends Account 5

SOOOOO

accounts 2,3 and 4,5 are "friended"

I make a 5man group and instance level them....do the linked accounts get 3x the xp?

3x experience gain seems to be based on "LINKED" accounts, not friended accounts. You MUST have an old account that invites another person to play. That new person (YOU in this case) then makes a new account using the new CD Key from the e-mail. The way the accounts get linked is through this CD Key. The new account and your original account now get 3x experience for 90 days as long as they are playing in a party together. Only characters at the same level and under 60 will get the exp. You can have as many characters getting 3x experience as you want as long as they are partied with a linked account.

I repeat, you must have linked the accounts by starting a new account using the trial CD generated by an older account.

If you already had 5 accounts before this offer, I see no way to get the exp bonus without making even more.

If every character in your party is linked to another character in your party, it should work out.

Yes, since Accts 2 and 3 are linked and 4 and 5 are linked. However, having the 70 in the group will lower the base XP, but it is still triple.

If you take 2 out of the party, then only 4 and 5 would get the triple XP.

I do have 5 "old" accounts now

I was thinking of getting 2 new accounts and linking them to 2 old accounts so that all 4 accounts get the 3x xp.

all 4 of the accounts would be linked...just not the account with my 70 mage. I understand that a 70 in the group would lower the amount of xp but would that stop the 4 low levels getting 3x the xp? Sorry for going over it again. I just want to make SURE b4 i go drop another 80 bucks on accounts.

Thanks in advance

has anyone done what I'm doing yet? I would think that someone here has. How did it work out for you?

I have, I have three "old" accounts left, I got two more and linked them exactly as you stated. I"m boosting them with a 70 on the non-linked account... and it's about 12 minutes per level in SM right now (which incidentally is how long a standard cath clear goes).

Hope that helps!

I actually feel like i level up too fast. Getting 10k exp for a level 20 quest is sick. not to mention the elite mob exp from the instances. I got almost 4.5 levels in WC when i ran it. In just one run. I haven't had time to practice my routines, and work the kinks out of my macros.

but on the whole i like it. I think my biggest mistake was trying to do 5 different classes as my first 5man team. It complicates everything exponentially it seems.

I tried out a 5 shaman team with 4 using the buddy system, and the 5th normal to see how much of a difference there was. After about 30 minutes, the buddies were level 8. The old account was level 3. The XP is amazing.
