It's almost 7 am in the desert... on a server maintenance Tuesday... So I thought I thought I'd write a little about my multiboxing progress. I haven't been multiboxing long, but it seems that its the only way I like to play now. I have other toons that I've single boxed, that sit in que, waiting for my shams (X5) and my mages (X3) to grow up. My 5 Shammies are now 39.30. Sadly, I had to replace two of them (Doozb,Doozc... R.I.P.) because I wanted the account info I boxed with to be exact matches...better safe than sorry. My new toons, Doozr and Doozn got boosted through dungeons by my son's Pally. We started off with his 70 sham and quickly learned this was not effecient. My son, even though I know this bores him, makes a game of it by seeing if we can beat our level times. We started in RFC... By the way Skugg... thanks for the guide, that thread has been extremely valuable. Mage boostign madness. (Epic Flyers: 5/4) ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=3039&pageNo=1&highlight=Ding')

We leveled the two shams from 8 to 16 in RFC. After RFC we took them to Dead Mines. We learned some things there. We figured out where to stand the shams to get still get exp., without alerting patrols. Seems as if, after you kill the bosses along the way, the patrols will get you from behind if you're not careful. This slowed us down a couple of times. We leveled here to 20 (we should have went earlier, I think). After Deadmines we went to SM. This was where we have learned the most so far. We started by doing GY then moving to Lib, then Armory, then Cath, Lib again to kill respawns and then reset. We quickly discarded the GY run, and the back half of Lib. My son would one pull the hallway, courtyard, then the back hallway of Lib. Kill, loot, move on. We also learned that at 20 ish, jumping in the instance before he pulled aggro was not a good idea.

Armory was was a bit more difficult for him. He respec'd a few times, and had to learn when to bubble so we didn't have to wait for the cool down for the Cath pulls. After countless runs, my son has become quite good at the armory pulls. He now one pulls armory, minus the boss. He still 3 pulls Cath because his bubble is on CD from armory. We also learned that LOS (pillar, corner) pulls are important. This keeps the casters in range of the AoE. In Cath, he will pull the first hallway and the lower court yard, while I wait at the entrance. Kill, mana up move on. I've learned to loot while hes drinking and doing the second pull. This is easy to manage because I can literally watch his screen to see where he is. Important note: If you allow the mobs to get too close to you while looting, when the pally bubbles, the mobs make a bee-line for the boostees, and this never ends pretty. He then pulls the upper courtyard to the same spot as the lower, and again, I wait at the entrance. Kill, loot, move on. I then position my toons at the bottom of the waterfall while he tags Morgaine and pulls the church. He pulls them outside the church behind the doors and AoE's them down.

After cath we would check the Lib for respawns, if no, reset and start over. Because we were killing the Armory and Cath fairly quick, we eventually dropped Lib from our run. I caught the two new shams up to the old ones, 0-36, in 1day2hrs game time. This is not fast, I know, but breaking speed records was not my goal. All my Shammies are the same level and back to grinding out levels together. I am now boosting 3 mages in a similar fashion as above. I want to catch them up to my shams so I can alternate play time and have a team resting while I level the other.

And thats where I'm at right now. I may have left out some detail, for that i'm sorry. Again, I couldn't have done it without all the great information I get here.

Thanks again,

Dooz
