Is it possible to use Maximizer with Ubuntu?

I recently switched to Ubuntu from Windows. I used to use Maximizer, but I can't seem to get it to work with Ubuntu. Am I missing some kind of trick? Has anyone else gotten Maximizer to play well with Ubuntu? Everything else seems to be working.

Well, I've been using Keyclone's Maximizer. I wasn't aware that there was a standalone. Does the standalone work with Ubuntu?

i have no idea. i was also under the impression that keyclone was working fully under linux-wine

what is it not doing exactly?
