Lava burst - new killer combo incoming..

Looks like a pretty nasty kill setup with some creative theorycrafting for 4-box shaman in WOTLK.
I wonder if it needs 4 flame shocks to work x4, or if one is enough, kind of like how spell reflect works in that it reflects several spells if they land att the same time.

Flame shock x4
Lightning Bolt
EM + Chain Lightning
NS + Lava burst


Like.. um.. 30k damage burst?

Lava burst
EM-NS- Chain Lightning

Lava burst will have travel time, chain lightning doesn't so with this setup lava burst and chain lightning will hit at the same time and be harder to heal through.

Also, Lava burst will always crit if flameshock is on the target.

Do we know yet if it's ANY flame shock on the target, or a flame shock from the user. Also, will there be a problem with lava bursts not all hitting at exactly the same time? (i.e. could first lava burst "eat" all the flame shocks on a target and the later hitting ones get left out?)

The target has 3 seconds to los you and dispell, most knows what will come after a flameshock abit like immolate>conflag. a skilled priest shouldn't have a problem by dispelling it so you have to get the enemy away from his dispeller.

Well i dont know how much HP we will be facing to kill someone in the expansion. But, the lava do about the dubble the dps of that flame shock allredy do, so if we had this spell today, meening it would do the dubble of the dmg from our 70lvl flame shocks, i would say that 4x flamshocks and then 4lava burst would totaly own a guy. Or... What about round robind it like this, Flameshock, lava burst, flameshock, lava burst..and we can spam it in moderat time and it would make each of the burst crit from the shock and not just the first one. Anyway. it seems preaty awsome. Elemental shammys will be total ownage in the expansin, in the same way as they are busting moonkins atm :D

I'm cheacking prices to build a new comp now days so i can go with my 5guys with no lag at all, moonkin + ellysx4 :D cant w8 to jump into 5v5 asap when i hit 80 :D

All the spells I've seen including the mage shatter combo is calculated at the time of cast and not when the projectile arrives at the target. So if your a mage casting a Frostbolt on a frozen target and the frozen target gets dispelled while the Frostbolt is midflight, the Frostbolt still counts as if the target was frozen.

The easiest thing to confirm that - Get a Boomkin and his talent for cast reduction on crit. As soon as wrath starts flying you get the buff in case it will hit critical.

NS + Lava burst
Not possible. Lava burst is a fire spell, not nature, thus NS would not work.

Plus, with the new WOTLK talents, I'm guessing that most multibox teams will be taking thunderstorm over nature's swiftness, but it's far too early to say since the talent trees and skills are changing so fast and often. Storm, Earth, and Fire has already changed, what 3 times?

I'm more excited about the Flametongue Weapon changes, and the addition of Earthliving, as now I'll have reason to actually cast a weapon buff.
