I've gotten the itch to begin two-boxing in WoW. I was up to playing 4 accts in DAoC back in the day, loved it, and I want to see what kind of fun I can have with it in WoW. I've read a bunch of guides on this web site's wiki, but haven't found out how looting works exactly.

On a quest where you have to collect 20 bear eggs and bring them to Cecil Orcface, and the bear eggs are quest items, I take it all characters have to each loot the corpse? Actually, I'm just drawing a blank on how this part of the game mechanics works dual boxing or not. Do quest item drops update all party members' quests?

In any case, what is the easiest way to have an alt loot a corpse, open a chest, etc? In these cases does one just have to take control of the alt and drive it to the corpse/chest and do everything manually?

Link is broken?

My opinion:

Avoid Looting quests! You need to collect the loot on all charecters so you Have to take control of each one. Mix that with a low drop rate and you are wasting way too much time for 1 quest.

Only time I do drop quests is if the reward is Good (Gear I'm going to use for almost 10lvls) or if the drop rate is good (above 70%). Beyond that just skip them you will be much happier.
