Best advice: READ, Read, read, and READ some more.
Octopus is free. there is a guide on setting it up. follow it step by step and it will work. Keyclone (not free) has some other features that you will want once you get going, but start with octopus.
That's all you need for a basic setup. Then you need to learn Macros... best way to do that is to READ some more.
An addon you might consider would be Multiboxer v2.
And just when you think you might be on the right track... READ some more.
Good luck!

In my opinion, the best place to start would be 2 casters of the same class. when you get into multiple classes (especially a melee and caster combo) you will have tons of problems setting up the keys and macros.
Just create a trial account and start a couple of mages using your current account for one of them since trial accounts can't create groups (but can be invited to a group by a non-trial account). It will be the easiest to setup since they will be the same and there are no melee actions to get confusing.

alright mages will do.....im having trouble trying to find the octupus download i can't find it on the website and i googled it and its the same on that ever time i find one that looks decent it turns in to information scam r so to some ramdom page with nothing to do with it..ty for the guide's
Just setup 2 warlocks this evening to try my hand at boxing, and while I've done boxing before, never with something like keyclone. It was a lot of fun watching my two characters level exactly at the same time, cast at the same time, etc. :D
Just a matter of getting the macros setup, and soon how to box a paladin and warlock. Should be interesting to get the keys setup. I think my best route is to set keybinds on the warlock, that do nothing on the paladin, which will trigger warlock casts.
