I know a lot of people, myself including, who when leveling up solo 70's have tried to hoard Outland quests until 70 for the cash boost towards a flying mount. When 5-boxing, considering the WOTLK is right around the corner, do you guys think it makes more sense now to get into Outlands at 58 and just blow through to 70 as fast as possible, via questing?

With the amount of $ that can be achieved with doing just dailies I've actually abandoned finishing up any quests that did not give me a reward that I wanted. That and the daily quests are so tightly packed in concentrated areas its more efficient in terms of gold per hour to do those IMHO.... YMMV.

Yes, get to 70 as fast as possible.
I don't even see the point in saving quests *now* given all the daily quests. Grinding 60 -> 70 takes you longer to level... a lot longer. Is it really that much faster to earn gold through saving quests that you have a net decrease in time /played combining the grind time to 70 and doing all the easy quests for 5000G, versus blowing through the quests getting to 70 and then grinding cash through dailies? I seriously doubt it.
Grind to 70, do skipped quests for gold = X days played total
Quest to 70, grind dailies for gold = Y days played total
In my opinion, Y > X by a good margin. And definitely if you consider that the sooner you get to 70 the sooner you can start gearing up, it's a no brainer to me.

I'm pretty sure that with flying mounts, X > Y assuming that you skip the non-100% drop rate collection quests. I took three days of playing to finish off all the outlands quests (non-100% drop rate collection quests) from Blades Edge, Nagrand, Netherstorm, Shadowmoon, and some of the Nagrand quests and had enough money to buy my epic flyers. With blue flyers, I believe the gold / hour is still better or at least on par with dailies. Add to that the fact that dailies have a definite limit on them.
I used to grind 10 dailies (the easiest kill-type quests I could find) for appr. 500g per day (took around 45-55 mins depending on how busy SSO was). Even assuming that that you do that every day, you'll still have to spend almost two full months grinding dailies to get your epic mounts (52 days). You can, of course, add more daily quests, but the gold / hour will decrease. I'm pretty sure that until lich king is out, doing skipped quests is faster.
Add to that the faction bonus and team experience you get from instance grinding.
That being said, I'm on the get to 70 asap wagon - we don't know what will happen to the value of gold in the expansion - most likely it will drop just as it did when BC came out and paying for your epic riding skill will be much more of a breeze.
