I love how your second post ever on this forum is to try and trash talk one of its most well known members.

Good Game.

I LOVE macros, especially focus macros. They're so huggable and cuddly and creme filled objects of love.

Hey all, I ended up posting a question on an existing thread but was hesitant in doing so. I'm worried that it would get lost in one thread and no one see it. It would probably be a mess if all the questions, comments, answers, etc were all in one thread anyways. I think they key is to make sure the subject is specific so that you clearly no what the thread is about. This would make it easier to scan through the threads and see if your question has already been asked. I probably spent an hour reading through all the threads before I confirmed that my question wasn't asked because I didn't want to upset anyone. I'm still worried I missed a post in a thread somewhere where someone had the same questions as me.

can someone actually answer this question yet?

like instead of locking or blocking a thread can someone actually confirm that xferring chars onto a linked account works?

any info would be nice here instead of the "wtf yet another RAF fred"

A Blue answered this question here ('http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=8557372932&sid=1&pageNo=3#51').

"Question: If I recruit myself and then transfer an character onto the new account (following all the existing rules and limitations for character transfers of course), will that character be eligible for the recruit-a-friend bonuses?

Answer: Yes."

I don't understand why people don't get that the RAF (Royal AirforceLAWL) stuff is ACCOUNT specific and affects characters on the ACCOUNT.

Meaning all characters on the ACCOUNT, no matter where they came from, get the benefits from Her Majesty's Royal Airforce (following all related guidelines).

my apologies for not looking up blue replies, and thank you very much bguru, i am now looking forward to xferring my shammies onto raf accounts and starting at 45, rather than 1.

But personally, before I go out and spend $150 to do this 3 account shuffle, I'd like to know if anybody has done it yet. I suspect there are others in the same boat.

I have two characters I'd like to catch up to one of my higher level groups, so I had a go at this today (on the EU realms). The character transfer doesn't work right now.

There's no error message, it just gets stuck on the "Character Transfer Form" of step 2, and hitting the continue button does nothing obvious beyond refreshing the page.

It could be a transient server problem, but the account I'm trasnferring to is still at "trial" status, and I'm certain that's where the problem lies - it doesn't make sense to allow a level 32 character to transfer to an account with a level cap of 20 after all :)

I don't have a spare key lying around to upgrade it to full just now. I'll pick one up at the weekend and post my experience in this thread.

You can upgrade the trial account in it's account management online. Unless you like stacking boxes or waiting to save 5 bucks, that's what I would recommend. Just watch out, Blizzard locks your credit card from further processing by them after 3 payments. That means if you want to do this for more than one account, you can't - without the help of the billing support which is not available on the weekend that is. =]

Yes I wanted to make sure as well. I didn't see anything specifically on stating that all characters would benefit. Just wanted to ping the brilliant and well informed minds of the community.

You can upgrade the trial account in it's account management online.
The EU site to do that has been down for some time (at least two days). It gets all the way through to the final stage (after you enter the credit card details), then:

If you are attempting to purchase World or Warcraft online, please be advised that the online upgrade feature is unavailable while some improvements are being made to the system. However, accounts can still easily be upgraded to retail accounts by purchasing a boxed copy of World of Warcraft- available at retailers everywhere.

If you have already purchased a retail copy of World of Warcraft, you can enter your retail authentication key at the bottom of the Account Management home page.
I ordered 3 new boxes from Amazon, and they'll be here before midday tomorrow

I picked up 3 battlechests last night and will probably give it a go this weekend.

I'll post back with the result for anybody else considering it.
