Ok, so I have played wow now since release and am EXTREMELY bored. I wanted something new to do so I decided to look up this multiboxing thing.

Well, I am going to run 3 toons from one PC and see how it goes. I have the accounts and such and have been researching the software etc. as well as reading all the guides.

I decided to try it out at work ( So I dont screw up my home PC ) and see how it went. The problem I am finding is I am an idiot to PC stuff. I turn the PC on, click mouse buttons and it works...Thats about it.

First thing I read to do was to make copies of my wow named wow1, wow2, wow3 etc....Well I did this and now my WoW doesnt work and I am a sad panda...lol Something about some file not being in the right folders etc.....

So I figured I would move ahead and get the rest of the stuff ready after the 6 hour reload of WoW and patches. I knew I needed something to make with a bat or dat or cat file or something to split my monitor into three views.

An hour after I tried that IT finally got my monitor to work again normal and I was told to not do whatever it was that I did again...lol

So...my question is as follows...Is there ANYWHERE a moron like me can find simple multiboxing setup info for one PC? Im talking "Right click this, highlight and drop into that, put long pointy thing A into slot looking thing B".....

Any help is appreceiated :)

howdy Apache and welcome to the forums,

if you would like a step by step write up, this might help (link: Keyclone!!! ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=76457#post76457') )

of course, it assumes you have an active keyclone.

if you have any more questions... well, don't ask wilbur :D ... you can drop me a note and i'll see what i can do.

i do recommend checking out the how-to videos by diamondzgunz on the movie section... it might help as well.

either way, reading the forums will be your best resource

good luck,

To the OP you can run 5 account from one instance of wow. Depending on your system you will not have to boot from 5 different directories.
