My RAF expierence

In the Beginning I was sooo incredibly frustrated when i saw this,

NEW 3X EXPIERENCE AND MOUNT!!!

/calm down, because just two weeks ago i sign up my free trials and worked my way through to get my rogues to 27.

My girlfriend and i talked it over and came to the conclusion that if i would start... ALL over... she would dual box with me.

Thus every piece has fallen in together, I deleted my other characters for the names,
Created new ones.
Macro'd new ones.
Changed interface on new ones.
Did the dirty work.

Just yesterday i created 3 mages at about 12 at night.

Why mages?

Well i just, litterally just deleted my rogues for the names. So i was burnt out on that,
i just deleted my priest 2x warlock, burnt out again.
I am saving my 3x shammy for my GF's 2x shammy on MAGtherion!!! Thats right i am coming to the MB community!

Why mages? well on the server i play on now i am just looking to get money before Wotlk,

3x frost mages for aoe grinding,
3xalchemy for transmute procs
3x tailor for spellcloth, shadowcloth, spellcloth

and dailies of course, they are gonna be my huge money makers.

Anyhow, enough rambling...

And because of my decision to start over, i already have 3 mages at level 20 after 6.5 hrs of play time.

Totally worth it, 89 days of 3x expierence to go.
3 free mounts (i.. think? lol)

But.. A little about my adventures.

Literally 1-5 was about 20 minutes long. I killed 3 guys for level 2, 4 guys for level 3 and i think 6 guys for level 5?

Anyhow as i moved on, i was dinging at SUCH a fast rate i had people that i have talked to when i was in northshire showing off,

Its a joke at the rate that i level.

As i am sitting right now with 3 level 20 mages,
I have 9 days left of my FREE 10 day trial,
Another 10 days left of my FREE Burning Crusade trial,
1 month free of game time for new accounts

3 Free mounts, (again.. i think)
and +20 free levels to ding a player up to on my main account.

I couldnt recommend this anymore if you looking to go from 3 to 5 or just simply 1 or 2 to 3.

Does this new RAF system affect instance-boosting?

If you have 3 accounts

Account a - veteran account
account b (linked to a)
account c (linked to a)

If ANY player out of the three linked accounts has a player that sees the mobs as grey, no 3x expierence.

Although if all 3 of your characters go into an instance with a friend of yours, or 2 other players in my case, then you still get RAF expierence.

So pay that sunwell pally to boost you through all the isntances for 50g every 30 minutes. :D

Me and another 24 mage somone i just met, went into dead mines to aoe kill.
we died at first boss, couldnt do it...
BUT ANYHOW..

i still got 3x exp.

Correct.

It doesn't matter if someone in your PARTY sees, as long as your LINKED friend and you both see green+ mobs, you get 3x experience.

I had a pally + 4x shaman at 63, so getting more accounts and starting over seemed a little crazy, so i picked up 3 trial accounts (error 203 ftl) and started over with my main account (being the veteran account) and it took maybe an hour to get to lvl 12... it is sooo fast... i just skipped every collection quest (only doign kill quests) in the dwarf/gnome starting area, and i ding'd lvl 10 with quests to spare, in no time, now i forsee that westfall will take me from 10-20 instead of 12-16 as per usual (i hope).. it's definately one of the best things blizz has ever done, especially for altoholics like me.

Rested XP is accumulated as normal, but is however NOT spent at all when getting 300% RAF xp - meaning if you run to 60 in full RAF-mode (good word!), and have spent little over a week in an inn on the way (while sleeping, sleep is important folks!), you will have about 1-1½ levels worth of rested xp to start you off nicely in outland.

Ofc, we all know we won't be doing that, we will start up the next group, level them to 40 in RAF mode, then giftlvl them to 60 from the first team, then start the 3rd team, RAF them to 40, giftlvl them to 60 from the second team, then ... need I say more ?

(yes, you will have to mingle them around a bit, and lvl to 40 instead of 30, because you dont get 30 giflvls in a team you just giftlvl'ed some of the way)

This would also mean switching around your char from account A -> E and vice versa, if you wanna do it this way (provided you did the round-robin RAF, and got 5 accounts - since you can only gift to VET accounts)

This holds promise!

Myself, I'm gonna settle for 3 new battlechests, so I can giftlvl on 2 of the old accounts only . Guess it's an easy way to level the classes that are not MB friendly on 2 of my accounts then :)

This... I almost forgive them for hitting Zolo's skellies with the nerfbat :thumbsup:

I wouldn't be surprised if they nerfed zolo just because of this new RAF. Imagine the leveling times... You could get to lvl 35 pretty quickly, then go insanely crazy getting like 600k exp per hour in zolo and be at lvl 58 in like 10 hours /played lol. If they ever nerf the RAF features, maybe zolo will be reinstated? I doubt it.

If I didn't already have 8 toons above lvl 50, I would get 4 new accounts and start over. I'm just going to dual box 2 linked accounts, and milk as much exp as I can, and gift some lvls to toons on my main account (that i can't boost with my tankadin due to them being on the same acct lol. Hopefully I can get at least 2 more lvl 60s out of it.

How is the mount "delivered" to your main account.

I already have one account with two level 70s on it and planning to buy four more so....

Running a pally on Account A and then 3 mages and a priest spread across the remaining four accounts.

If I want to get 5 Zhevras, how would I go about it?

First question:

Is there anyway of getting my zhevra on E without buying a 6TH account. Would prefer not to go down that route but it'll be a damn shame to only have zehvras on 4 of the accounts :P

Second question:

The gifting levels thingie. Does that mean if I crated my druid alt teams on accounts A-D I could have them all at 30 just by gifting the levels from the vet to the alt? I assume that Account E would NOT get level boosts to an alt on there.

You'd need to have a 6th invite go out. Doesn't have to be yourself, you could use it as "intended" by blizz to recruit an actual friend :)

THe gifting goes from the alt to the vet acct. Easiest way to think of it is to create multiple teams. Create your first team (5 shamans, or whatever) level them up as high as possible. Create a new team, and then use the first team to gift them as many levels as they are able. Again, this needs 6 accounts, because your last account will always be an "alt" account and can't be a vet account. Or you would just have to xfer toons off of the main account to the last alt account.

Once your first team hits 60, you could then instantly have a lvl 30 team. If you then level that team, I believe you can create another lvl 30 team. (Do gifted levels count towards being able to gift levels to another? I.E. level a team to 60, gift lvls to a new team to 30. Can that team gift levels to another team to 15? Seems like a perfect way to create an army of alts :) If I were to start over, I'd make 5 shaman, 5 druids 5 hunters, 5 priests, 5 warlocks and 5 paladins lol Ultimate mix and match

Yes, he has been nerfed. I was referring to the timing of the nerf and the new RAF. Zolo being nerfed a week before this triple xp gain is announced doesn't seem like it was an accident...

I'm leveling fast compared to my normal speed (which is slower than some). I made a bonehead move and used WoW's online upgrade. That was a big mistake. PLEASE MAKE SURE NOT TO DO THIS!!! I wasn't thinking of these accounts as regular trial accounts but they are. I had cleaned out my other toons pockets and sent it to one of my new toons and not realizing at the time it can't receive email. I also can't trade so I pretty much just have to vendor everything. I still only have my backpack (cept for one toon came across a 6 slot).

I am finding it impossible to keep up with paying for my training and getting gear. Forget buying water. Can't afford it. Thankfully I have good melee with my druids.

Once my toons are off the trial account everything should get better. I sure can't wait for that!!!

This whole extra XP thing is kind of surreal. Almost like you are having a dream but it is real. neato!

I think you would be better off getting new accounts. As you level now the levels will take longer and longer. In a couple of hard days grinding quests, etc with the new RAF dealio you could catch up to where you are now. And also if you think about it. In that 90 days you could level a couple of more groups up to 60. Something to think about!

I'm loving the triple xp, I bought 3 more accounts... make sure you DON'T link the new accounts to the same one, or you'll be a little gimped when you pass on the free 30 levels when you get to level 60.

I set up:

Existing Account 1 ---> New Account 1 ----> New Account 2
Existing Account 2 ---> New Account 3

I was originally going to:

Existing Account 1 ---> New Account 1 ----> New Account 2 ---> New Account 3 ----> New Account 4 ----> New Account 5

So when the new 5 hit 60, just lvl 5 veterans to 30, they can be instantly boststed to 60, right now I can just do that to 3, but I'm ok with that.

If you link 4 accounts to one Vet account.. does that vet account receive 4 bonus lvls (4x1) for every 2 lvls (4x2) the others go up?

basically My idea was

make two new characters on my Vet account.. use pally to boost 4 new toons to 60.. then with 120 lvls ready to use on the vets account have them instantly at lvl 60 :) does that work?

if so I'll spend this weekend lvling like mad and gaining a couple more lvl 60 teams :) 5 rogues 5 mages, 5 warlocks, 5 priests 5 hunters etc ^^

or is there something I missed and I'm getting carried away?

10 day trial
then a free month
then 1 month recurring

does this mean I can't trade till the 10 days are up?

I got an email from blizz:
Effective immediately, the leveling restriction on the account has been lifted
and you may begin leveling freely during this
processing phase, though
communication options will still be limited until the upgrade is complete.

I guess maybe the communication bit in the mail may mean no trades?

I have 13 hours played but 2 of those were set up time. So in 11 hours I am 32 ( I would say 45 mins of running around for the sham totems quests ) I got to level 22 and started boosting in SM. I got in SM yesterday and a few hours later I was 32.

I did this as well not thinking about it being an actual normal trial account. No trades, no mail no auction (no good stuff) until they get finalized. It normally takes them up to 72 hours but mine got done in about 48 hours. It sure is a major pain in the butt not being able to trade. Kept me in crappy gear and only some training for the most part.

thx for that blast3r - phew - 48 hours running around in crappy gear is ok as my pally will be powerlevelling them as soon as he can - it's the damn trades and not being able to invite them to the guild >.< I just wanted to give them gold so they could train. Getting x3 xp is nice :)
BTW I created 4 male orc shammies and they reminded me of bouncers outside nightclubs (when I was young enough togo out lol) so I named them:

the vet account doesn't need a 70 and I think the word veteran is a misuse here by blizz as the word veteran implies it does. Your veteran account really is just an account already paid for and could have a level 1 on it. So to answer the previous Syro posts: almost.

I started up 5 new accounts, so far level 40 at 1 day played all questing, pretty sweet.
