View Full Version : Mouse dragging, seems to get double input

i've just upgraded to the latest keyclone version ('1.8k' i believe) from a quite old one
Running 2 WOWs on 1 machine

Since the upgrade I've noticed a weird behavior with the mouse drag movements.
Basically it seems when i drag the mouse (to rotate the wow camera for example. or to move forward when pressing both buttons) it doubles+ in speed with the new keyclone.
The Camera will rotate at an extremely fast rate for example. Or i'm running and move the mouse to run a bit to the left and find myself running completely left or even back.
If i use the override button it's all fine, but when i do not override oftentimes my camera goes crazy before i can set it back to its normal position. (as in it turns very quickly)

I suspected "add: mouse-click-passing between all client windows" was the problem, but tried using the Mouse click override and still had the issue.
For all i know it could be something i need to uncheck somewhere (new feature?), as it used to be fine in my previous keyclone version, and is now different.

Any idea?

Cheers,

Tried with my third toon tonight, camera goes crazy whenever i try and turn it, if not in override mode.
Basically it does the same as explained above, but worse.. (3 times the input maybe, since i run 3 wows)

Any idea?

Thanks

i've seen that if i hold down control while dragging the mouse.
you're seeing an issue without hitting any keys?

Yeah, i only need to click the left button for example, and drag left or right and the camera loops 3 times around my toon.

- i do have the left and right mouse buttons mapped in the Mouse-map section, if i take them out the issue does not happen
- if i override, the issue doesnt happen
- seems it is since last version
- tried using CTRL while dragging, but it doesn't seem to affect the above statements
- the speed of the camera seems linked to the number of wow windows. with 2 wow, the camera is very quick, with 3 it's super quick (acnt see where it's going). can't imagine with more.

so.. if you unmap the mouse-mapping of keys, it stops?

correct.

To be precise, i have LBUTTON mapped to F11, and RBUTTON mapped to F11 as well
F11 is my /follow macro basically, so my toons are always following whenever i move the main.

At the moment i've removed the RBUTTON mapping to have it playable. if i remove both then there is no issue.
I've noticed that using both mapping with 2 wows gives about the same camera weirdness as using 1 mapping with 3 wows, so my guess is that the drag/mouse info (or whatever is passed) is passed twice each time (if that helps the investigations at all)

hi Rob,
in case this is any help, i've tested this with :
- keyclone 1.8k - Issue is happening
- keyclone 1.8j - Issue is happening
- keyclone 1.8g - Issue is NOT happening

So i would guess it's something that was introduced in version 1.8j

Hope this helps.
I'll be using 1.8g for now :-)
